70th Birthday

I'm back with a really CAS masculine 70th birthday card. I was invited by Lyndal last weekend for a Crafty catch up at her place. There were 8 of us crowded around her dining room table and it was a fun day. One of the ladies brought along a book cover vinyl she had purchased from Kmart. A few of us had a go with die cutting the vinyl and I brought some leftovers home to make this card! I've got to go to Kmart to get some more. They will be great for Christmas cards!! I'm adding this card to Paper Smooches Guest Designer Challenge.

Materials used:
Neenah card, ME Happy Die, PS tag and digits stampset and dies, Kaisercraft glitter tape

Baby Lennox

I have a cute baby card to share. One of my staff at work just had a baby 5 weeks early on the weekend! We were supposed to have a farewell morning tea for her this Friday! Oh well, when the baby wants to come out, it will come out!! After a busy weekend with overseas relatives in town and Father's Day yesterday, I got around to making this card before going to bed last night. I've decided to add it to Paper Smooches Anything Goes Challenge. I've also knitted (it's been a long time since I've done any baby knitting) a pair of bootees and hat for baby Lennox.

A Card for Baby Matilda

Friends of mine just recently became Grandparents again. A boy the first time and now a baby Grandchild. I have made a card for the proud parents of Baby Matilda. Congratulations!
The card was inspired by the latest Paper Smooches Sparks photo inspiration. Here it is!

100% Stamped Birthday Card!

I re-visited a card I made over two years ago with some additional new stamps. I also used my trusty MISTI for this card and made two at the same time. I positioned all the stamps first and stamped a template before stamping them with the individual colours. The blank spaces were filled up the tiny stamps that come with some of the stamp sets I used. The inks and most of the stamp sets are from Hero Arts with one stamp set from Paper Smooches. I just love mixing the fonts and colours and because it is 100% stamped, I'm adding this to Virginia View's current challenge. Thanks for dropping by!

A 60th Birthday card

I recently received a whole set of Ranger Inks (enabled by Jennifer McGuire) and I have not had a chance to ink them all up. When I saw Virginia View's Challenge #16 - 100% Stamped, I knew it was the perfect opportunity to use them! I based my card on the current CAS(E) this sketch #130 and Paper Smooches Stamps with a bit of my dotty artwork added.

I'm submitting for the following challenges:
CAS(E) this Sketch #130 Leigh Penner
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - We're going Dotty
Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes

A Coffee Card!

I've been seeing lovely cards made for the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and was not going to participate as I did not have any coffee cup stamps. But when going through my stash the other day I'd realised there is a Hero Arts stamp I could use. Believe it or not, the stamp has not been removed from its original packaging ever since I bought it ?2 years ago! I had so much fun with it, I may make more cards from the same stamp set again! Here it is and I'm adding it to the following challenges:
- Hero Arts Tic Tac Toe challenge (Heat Emboss/Die Cut/Fave Colour)
- Fusion Card Challenge
- Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Masculine Fusion Card

I've got a few male birthdays coming up over the next few months and I wanted to make a card using the current Fusion Card Challenge sketch. I didn't go for the same colours as the photo as I didn't have the matching patterned paper. I decided to go for the neutral wood tones with Kaisercraft paper, wood veneer and vellum. Here is my card and I'm adding it also to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Make it Masculine Challenge and Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes Challenge (The sentiment, anchor and note paper tag are all from Paper Smooches). Thanks for dropping by!

Paper Smooches Sketch

I had fun making this card in between doing some chores today. It's been a while since I have used my PS stamps and I thought the current PS Sparks Designer Challenge had a very interesting sketch. I used my favourite and my oldest PS stamp set for this challenge. I'm also adding this to SSS Wednesday Anything Goes challenge. I've got a special card to share tomorrow, so do drop by!

Happy 70th Birthday!

It's been a little while since my last RIC. The current photo is intriguing to say the least. I had something else in mind, may still have time to do another one! I've used Paper Smooches stamps for this card and have based it on the sketch from the current PS Sparks Designer Drafts Challenge. I'm also adding this to SSS Wednesday Anything Goes challenge. Thanks for dropping by!

This is my third post on the lovely French wine labels I won from Jacqueline. I've done altogether 6 cards using the labels, each of them done differently. These two are stamped with Paper Smooches Reflections, one card is for a male and the other a female. I'm adding these to Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge - Anything Goes and Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes challenge. Thanks for dropping by!

Muse 61 - Jacquie Southas

When I saw Jacquie as the Muse this week on Muse Challenge #61, I had a birthday card in mind to do. At our Craft Retreat two weekends ago, each of us were given a little gift bag of goodies from Joy Taylor. We were given so much stuff that weekend, I did not have a proper chance to look at what she gave us. Inside the bag was an assortment of Hero Arts cards and the colours were so yummy, I could not waste an entire card on one card. I decided to die cut them to make them into a birthday card. Of course, I couldn't stop at one card, I made another one at the same time! The colours were based on this week's Color Countdown colours. Thanks for dropping by!

Masculine Happy 50th

This is a fun birthday card I made for my not-so-much-younger-than-me-brother who turned 50 last week. I've been having fun with my new PTI Happy liner die! It was fiddly getting the alphabets in a different colour, but I'm happy with the result! I'm putting this card into Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes Challenge and also into the PS April Guest Designer Search. I've got a few photos to share that I took at the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne today. I found it very hard to take a good photo!

Ingredients
Cardstock – Neenah Solar White and Desert Storm, Black Cardstock
Dies – Paper Smooches Digits and Leaf, PTI Sale Tag and Happy, Simon Says Stamps Stars
Stamp - Paper Smooches Digits
Embellishments –Hemp and cord from Hemptique

Washi masculine card

It is so much easier to make a card for a female than a male! I have another farewell card for a work colleague and decided to go with the Paper Smooches Sparks Designer Drafts sketch. This sketch screams washi tape! I started off with some non-feminine colours and went from there. This card is another A4 sized card. As I've used washi tape, I've also decided to add this to Ribbon Carousel's Washi tape challenge.

Ingredients
Neenah carstock, PS note die, Reflections and Sentiment Sampler, Hero Arts Soft Granite, Cup O'Joe and Navy, Memento Luxe Bahamas Blue, washi tapes in my stash and MME enamel dots to match.

3 Days Til Christmas

It's present wrapping time! I've been merrily wrapping away and realised that I did not have enough gift tags for all the presents, I was actually 16 tags short! So off on a tangent and I spent last night doing tags. I decided to personalise them by adding the recipient's initial on the front (this makes it easy for me too to pick out their presents from under our tree). Here are my cards made with Paper Smooches Merry Motifs and MT Tape. I'm adding this to:
Paper Smooches Sparks - Anything Goes
Paper Crafts December challenge - The Holidays

Ingredients
Neenah Solar White, Paper Smooches Merry Motifs, Delicata Gold ink, MT Tape, Paper Smooches Die, MFT DieNamics Tall Alphabet Dies, Kaisercraft rhinestones, Baubles from Typo, tinsel from Morgan & Finch, wrapping paper from Wrapco.com.au and twine from The Twinery.

Blackboard Wedding Cards

I'm getting back into some crafting as I'm way behind with some of the cards I need to get to before starting on the Christmas cards. I decided to use the same technique for two wedding cards I needed to do. Typical me, I originally wanted the two cards to be the same, I then changed my mind halfway through and made them both different. Would love to know which one you prefer and why. Here are my two cards and they are for the following challenges:
- Muse #44 - Marion Vagg
- Paper Crafts November Challenge - Sequins (second card)
- CAS-ual Fridays - Create with 8 (8 sequins in the second card)

Muse #44 - Marion Vagg
Ingredients:
Neenah Solar White and Desert Storm, black card stock, Paper Smooches Hubey and Wifey and Sentiment Sampler, Versamark, White and Gold EP, Basic Grey Cut and Paste, White Chalk ink, white gel pen and gold sequins.

On the safe arrival of your ...

….bundle of joy! This is a quick Farewell card for a work colleague going on Maternity leave. This card is an A5 size card based on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Heather's sketch. I wanted to use my new Paper Smooches dies for this card and I'm so happy with them - they have been on my wishlist for a while now! There is very little stamping with this card, I'm letting the colours of the beautiful papers do all the work. I'm also linking this card up for the following challenges:
- CASE Study #167 (Keisha Campbell)
- Paper Smooches Cool Shades Challenge
Must get started on Christmas cards soon! Thanks for dropping by!

Ingredients:

Neenah Solar White and Desert Storm, Basic Grey pb&j, MFT Dienamics Flags STAX, SSS Folded Banner die, PS Onesie and Notebook Basic dies, Kaisercraft Sentiment and Bloom, Chevron ribbon.

60th Birthday Card(s)

I was asked to make a 60th birthday card and wanted to use the Paper Smooches digits and stripes for the current PS Sparks challenge. I ended up with two cards as I wasn't happy with the first one. Both cards are based on separate sketch challenges. I finally got hold of some heavy weight vellum and couldn't resist trying out the Simon Says Stamp banner die. Let me know which one you like….
