Get Wild with Washi 2021

I'm so excited when this contest was announced as I was one of the winners last year - blogged here. I used a newly acquired Altenew Washi tape for this challenge after seeing Lydia used it on a live feed two weeks ago. I was initially going to use some Washi flowers for the card but ended up using this flower that I stamped a while ago (I usually stamp a bunch to use for quick cards). I also used a new 3D embossing folder for this - I love the embossing on the washi tape! Here's my entry to the challenge and I'm also adding this to this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge. Altenew Get Wild with Washi Challenge

 I just love this challenge at Altenew. I must confess I am a washi tape hoarder. When we were allowed to travel overseas, I would always be on a lookout for unusual washi tape to add to my stash! Needless to say, I have a small collection of Altenew tapes, I just love the wider tapes. Here are a couple of cards I made recently. A hack that I often use for cards is to add some tape to the envelopes. I do this for Christmas cards every year, it just add a bit of fun to the envelope. Thanks for dropping by!

First Post for 2019!

It’s been a really busy and crazy two months for me and I’m so glad to finally find time and energy to make a couple of cards. As all my followers know, I usually make at least two cards every time I have to make one. Why not? When you have all the materials out! I’ve decided to use the current CAS(E) this Sketch sketch and the wonderful Washi tapes from Altenew to make these cards. So they were quick to make!

More Washi Fun!

I have another series of cards I made with my new Altenew washi tape stash. These were so easy to make. I adhered the tapes to Neenah card stock and fussy cut them whilst watching TV (I can never be idle watching TV, I'm either knitting or crafting). Assembling them was fun and I added some adhesive foam tape to some to add some dimension. Please find my previous blogpost on a similar technique on different washi tapes. Thanks for dropping by!
