CASE me a Christmas Card 2025 Blog Hop

I'm most excited to join this year's CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) me a Christmas Card with my crafty friend Michelle Lupton and friends. The format this year is slightly different to previous years as anyone can join in by making a Christmas card inspired by any card made by designers participating in the hop. This year, I was inspired by this card from Emily Midgett - Sixth Street Sundries

I don't have a dark brown card stock and decided to use a green card stock instead. I was inspired by the bright colours against the dark background and decided to use some old dies in my stash - some of these may no longer be available as I've had a them for quite a number of years. They get to feature every now and then! It was easy to put together as I'm really into simple cards that are easy to mass produce during this busy time of the year! Thank you so much for dropping by, please hop along to Emily's card on the blog hop!

I'm adding this card to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Clean and Simple

Materials used:
Dies - Wreath and bow from Winnie and Walter, Sentiment from Simon Says Stamp, Square die from Lil'Inker designs
Others - enamel dots from Simon Says Stamp

Emily's card is below:

Casing Debby

The new Case Study Challenge Muse is the ever so talented Debby Hughes. I love her style and love to case her cards. The first challenge for CSC#207 is a lovely card stamped on vellum and coloured on the back with Copics. I was lucky to just receive my new AlteNew stamp set (from my prize money for RIC) and it happened to be the same set that Debby used. Here is my card, and thanks for dropping by! I'm also adding this to a couple of Simon Says Challenges - Work it Wednesday and Wednesday Stamptember Stamp It.

Case Study 202

Did anyone see my winning card on Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Emboss It Challenge? It was a pleasant surprise.... mmm.. how many things can I get with my $50 voucher? Some more new challenges this week and more creative juices are overflowing! Here is my card for this week's Case Study #202 with Shari Carroll as muse. The sketch is very similar to Fusion challenge's sketch! I'm also adding this card to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge. Thanks for dropping by!

CASE Study 201

It's nice to find time in my busy world to chill out and make a card. I struggled all weekend to come up with a couple of cards for the next publication submission and ended up giving up as I could not come up with anything. Instead, I decided to make a card for CASE study! It was less stressful and a lot of fun! Here is my take on Shari Carroll's card. I'm also adding this to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Emboss It Challenge. Thanks for dropping by!

Fun with Floral Fusion Die

I've had a rather busy week at work and nothing gives me more pleasure than sitting down to make a card or two. Tonight was one of those nights! When I saw Shari Carroll's card on CAS(E) Study #199, I knew what I wanted to do. I don't have many Cover up dies...in fact just one actually... Here is my card inspired by Shari! I'm also adding it to Virginia'sView Challenge#5 - Die Cut and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Lets be clear (vellum butterfly). Thanks for dropping by, the items I used for the card are listed below.
Edited to add - This card was Top 3 in CAS(E) Study #199

Tall Poppy

This card was started at our Craft Retreat. It took me a long tine to finally finish it. I had coloured the poppy with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen. The card was trimmed with the flower partially fussy cut and mounted onto the card base with dimensional foam. The sentiment fitted well on the bottom of the card. This card will be submitted to CASE Study's DT Call Challenge. I had enjoyed learning about colouring with Copic markers from Kathy Racoosin, she was the CASE Study in September last year and I've been following her blog ever since. This card is certainly inspired by Kathy, the Queen of Markers! I'm also adding this card to PCS April Gallery Challenge. Thanks for dropping by!

Baby Kingsley

I took great pleasure in making this baby card for close friends of mine. I got out my favourite go-to patterned paper for baby cards - Fancy Pants Park Bench. The colours in this pad are just perfect. I wanted to combine this week's Cas(e) This Sketch and Case Study Challenge - Jaclyn Miller. I couldn't fit a sentiment to the card and I thought it really didn't need one. Did anyone see that I got another Retro Sketch Shout Out this week for this card? Thanks for dropping by!

CASE Study 172

It's so nice to do non Christmas card! This is my first one after over a month of Christmas card making!!  I based this technique on one of PTI's Make It Mondays videos on watercolour embossing, but it never made it before the challenge closed! I also added some sponging to it to emphasise the white embossed image. This card is based on a CASE Study photo below. Hope you had a great new year and thanks for dropping by!

On the safe arrival of your ...

….bundle of joy! This is a quick Farewell card for a work colleague going on Maternity leave. This card is an A5 size card based on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Heather's sketch. I wanted to use my new Paper Smooches dies for this card and I'm so happy with them - they have been on my wishlist for a while now! There is very little stamping with this card, I'm letting the colours of the beautiful papers do all the work. I'm also linking this card up for the following challenges:
- CASE Study #167 (Keisha Campbell)
- Paper Smooches Cool Shades Challenge
Must get started on Christmas cards soon! Thanks for dropping by!

Casing Elena Roussakis

I have not made a card in nearly two weeks due to a lot of social activities, but I'm getting back into it as I've also recently received an order from Queensland for another 21st birthday guest book! Due to the number of orders and enquiries I've been getting for them, I decided to add an extra page to the website - Made to Order.
A couple of challenges grabbed my attention this week and I wanted to combine the two of them. The current muse on CASE Study Challenge is Elena Roussakis and I love the challenge photo! The card is also based on the current Paper Smooches Designer Drafts challenge. Thank you for dropping by!

Casing Kathy Racoosin Take 4!

I've really enjoyed casing Kathy Racoosin at the CASE Study Challenges this month. She has made me step outside my comfort zone and taken me to another level in paper crafting, so Thank You Very Much Kathy and CSC!! The card for CSC159 has repeated stamping and layered fishtail die cuts. I went looking for the original card which Kathy posted last year to find out how she did it. I actually quite like her case of that card posted on CSC159 and decided to make that instead. If I have more time on the weekend, I might case the original card. Here is my card with her two case cards below that. I'm also submitting this card to Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Challenge as the dies and embossing folder are available from SSS. I may send this card to Paper Crafts' 2013 World Card Making Contest - Thank You Category. Thanks for dropping by!

Casing Kathy Racoosin - Take 3!

It's been a fun month of challenges at CASE Study Challenge. It has made me colour with Copic markers! I have decided to combine the challenge with the Papertrey Ink's Make It Mondays - Layered Border Diecuts challenge. I don't have any border diecuts from PTI so I used the MFT scallop die cuts instead. I have really challenged myself with this card as I have been wanting to try the layered border technique and the Copic colouring for so long! Just needed that little bit of a nudge!!
I'm also submitting this card to Moxie Fab World Handmade Cards Week Colour Media Challenge.

Edited to add:
This card was a winner for CSC158! Yay!!

CASE Study - Kathy Racoosin2

After having such fun last week with CASE Study Challenge, I had to join in with Challenge 157 this week. At the last Craft Show I attended, one of my last purchases before I left was a packet of chevron ribbon in three colours. When I saw Kathy Racoosin's CASE card, I was very happy I picked the right colour! I'm also entering this card to Moxie Fab World's In Transition challenge and Paper Smooches Guest Designer search. Thanks for dropping by! Woohoo, two cards in one weekend!!

Casing Kathy Racoosin

I was very excited when I saw this week's Case Study Challenge. The Case card is beautifully painted along with Kathy Racoosin's card. I usually don't do a lot of colouring and I have very limited Copic markers. When I finally received my prize this year from Australian Simply Cards from Cardmaker of the Year competition, I was very excited to receive a set of Ciao Copic markers. I have only used the black marker so far! So tonight I decided to give it a go after being inspired by Kathy. Here is my card made with the limited number of markers in the set. I used Kathy's white dots technique to highlight the petals. I'm submitting this to the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger - Honouring Ombre challenge as well. Thanks for dropping by!

I'm also submitting this card to CAS-ual Fridays - Banners and Flags challenge and the ColourQ challenge. I would also like to welcome new followers on my blog and Pinterest account from Splitcoaststampers - thank you for all the comments and repins! Thanks for dropping by!
