Paper - Neenah Desert Storm, Kaisercraft Pack Your Bags 6x6 PP and glitter card
Dies - Tim Holtz Scribbles and Splat, Lil Inkers Stitched Circles, MFT Large Numbers and BluePrint, Winnie and Walter Happy
Inks - Distress Ink Gathered Twigs

Happy 50th Birthday in Paris

I have another shaker card to share which I made at our Craft Retreat last month. The background was inked with Distress Oxides with some Perfect Pearls mist and white paint splashed on top. The glimmer on the background is better in real life. The rest of the card was constructed with dies from MFT and Simon Says Stamp. I added the '50' when I got back as I wanted to use it for a 50th birthday card. The full list of materials used are listed below. I'm adding this to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Happy Birthday Challenge. Thank you for dropping by!

Materials:
Dies: MFT Paris Skyline and Numbers, Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle Die
Card: Kaisercraft Glitter card
Inks: Distress Oxides Broken China and Vintage Photo, Perfect Pearls Mist, White paint
Sequins: Assorted sources

She's 16!

I can't believe that our youngest niece is turning 16 tomorrow! She lives in Sydney and I made this card on Mother's Day, in between running a few errands! I wanted to use a stencil so that I can enter it into this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge. Can you see the stencil in this card! I used the Flash creative screening from Winnie and Walter for the background using two distress inks to colour. I then overstamped with images from The Party stampset. The '16' was diecut with MFT Dienamcs Big numbers dies and glitter foam which I picked up from Lincraft recently. Of course the card would not be complete without a bit of Wink of Stella on the balloons and a sprinkling of sequins. Thanks for dropping by!

Another 80th Birthday card

This one is for an Uncle's 80th birthday. I've used lots of different size stars cut out from MME PP and created a background with them. The '80' has three layers glued together before being adhered on top of the stars background. I'm adding this to three challenges:
-  Card Design Superstar
- MFT Sketch Challenge
- Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Die Crazy Challenge
Thanks for dropping by!

I found the perfect tag in Kaisercraft's Bonjour 6x6 pad! It was really easy to put together once I decided on which paper and ribbon to use. I'm also submitting this card to Moxie Fab World Asymmetry challenge. Thanks for dropping by!

Happy 21st card

I've been overseas for a short trip to attend a friend's wedding in Indonesia. Been back a few days and needed to get the house in order. I'm having withdrawal symptoms from card making! Needed to do a quick one for my niece's 21st next month. She went to Paris last year and I wanted to use the Eiffel Tower paper from MME Lost and Found. I decided to use the current Retro sketch challenge and combined it with the Moxie Fab World Gingham Card Challenge. Needless to say, the colours of the card was based on the pink/brown gingham I had in my stash, there was just enough for this card! Since I used Hero Arts stamps and mid-tone inks in this card, I'm also entering this into HA May challenge. Scroll down below for all the details of the card and I have some photos to share from the wedding in Jakarta.

Challenges:
Moxie Fab World - Gingham Card Challenge
Retro Sketches - RS#13
Ingredients:
Cardstock - Via Vellum Kraft
Paper - My Minds Eyes Lost and Found Blush (my favourite!)
Stamps - HA Antique Flowers and Butterflies, HA Big Ticket
Inks - HA Bubble Gum, HA Cup O'Joe
Others - MFT Numbers Die, Kaisercraft rhinestones, MS ribbon loop punch, gingham ribbon, washi tape

Our trip to Jakarta
A very good friend of mine, whom I first met in 2008 in Malaysia, got married in Jakarta last weekend. He came to Melbourne last year and met my partner for the first time and they both hit it off so well that he asked us to come for his wedding. We have never met his wife, now that we have, she is so lovely and was very pretty on the day of the wedding and even prettier without makeup! My partner, Robin, was asked to make a speech at the wedding as he was the only foreigner amongst the 850 guests! We spent two nights in Jakarta and two nights in Bandung (3 hours drive away). We had a lovely weekend surrounded by great company! Thanks for dropping by! Here are some more photos from our trip:
The wedding cakes in Indonesia are huge (not real though)
Photo taken at a jungle restaurant in Bandung, taken with no flash. We used our iPhones to light up our faces!

Washi 12th Birthday

I have two nieces turning 12 this year, one of them next week. I thought I better get two cards done at the same time. It's time to take out my Washi tapes and have a play again. I am entering these cards into two new challenges for me anyway. The Deconstructed Sketch 50 caught my attention as perfect for the Embellish Washi tape challenge. What a great combination! I also added them to the Simon Says Stamp Happy Birthday challenge.

I used the My Favourite Things numbers die for the first time to cut out the numbers 1 and 2 from washi tape on cardstock, the rest was pretty easy. This was such an easy card to make and I made two in no time! My Mum dropped by yesterday and was saying she needed to buy a birthday card for my niece.... so I gave her one of these cards... now I need to make another one today with a different design. What a great excuse to go back my Craft room! Thanks for dropping by!
