This card is made based on masking with die cuts as shown on Make it Monday with Erin. I had fun making this card with the colours from ColourQ#248 and stuck pretty close to Erin's techniques shown on her video. I'm also adding this card to Virginia's View Challenge #5 - Die Cut and Moxie Fab World's Wonderful Words Challenge. I've been pretty busy with my new job and have not had much crafting time. I managed to submit three cards for publication this week and hope to get inky again on the weekend! Thanks for dropping by!!

2 Days Til Christmas...
… and I'm still wrapping the last few presents.. and making a couple of last minute cards. I got this Christmas tree die from the Australian Simply Cards magazine and have not had a chance to use it. I saw a video on Jennifer Mcguire's blog about getting a faux letter press effect on water colour paper. I decided to try it and it was so easy, I decided to make two cards while I had everything out. By the way, when I see an interesting technique blog post or video, I add it to my Tutorial Links page, I find these handy when I want to try out a different technique. The colours I have used are for the current ColourQ challenge #220. I'm also adding this to Basic Grey Challenge 110 - Anything Goes.
Ingredients
Neenah Desert Storm, Water colour paper, Christmas tree die, Lil Inkers Stitched Squares, Tim Holtz distress markers, water brush, Basic Grey 25th and Pine, wash tape from Typo, twine from The Twinery and Kaisercraft rhinestones

This is my first ever entry for Chupa's Saturday Sketch and it happens to be her 100th sketch! As I have been following her on FB, she announced that she will be posting her sketch on Saturday night, so I decided to play along. MFT Guest DT Jan13 Challenge
There has been a lot of chalkboard inspired cards on Pinterest and on various galleries. I have been wanting to try out this technique. This is the original post by Betsy Veldman which started the chalkboard trend. Sounds easy? I thought I'll give it a go with the current MFT Guest DT sketch challenge. It was easy to do, but I didn't have much black smooth paper, hunted high and low and found some! I don't have any vertical sentiments and I had to flip the card around to use the sentiment I wanted to use. I also repeated the bottom of the sentiment and added it to the top to even it off. I'm also entering the card into this week's ColourQ - Challenge 170 (Choose an Colour Palette). I chose cQc #146, although my card does not have a lot of green, the other main colours are there. Anyway here is the result!
This sentiment in this card reflects my thoughts - I'm a dreamer.... One day, it's going to happen... I can craft full time and don't have to work for a living!! ... until my dreams come true... I would love to be a guest DT!! I would love to win $200 worth of MFT products!!
Ingredients:
Cardstock - Neenah Desert Storm, Black cardboard
Paper - Basic Grey Konnichiwa
Stamp - MFT My Favourite Sentiments
Ink - Versamark, Versamark Chalk Ink Cloud White
Dies - MFT Fishtail STAX, MFT Upsy Daisy
Others - White EP, Hemp from Hemtique, white brad, white gel pen
