Partial Die Stamping

Wow! Two posts in one day! This is another quick and easy card for Make It Monday Partial Die Stamping and Addicted to CAS - Code Word Tag. Having some fun with a bit of free time today! I still haven't made my hat for Melbourne Cup yet!! Please click on the photo to see the detail of the die cut - it has 3 thick layers of cardstock!

Fun with Die Cuts

This card is made based on masking with die cuts as shown on Make it Monday with Erin. I had fun making this card with the colours from ColourQ#248 and stuck pretty close to Erin's techniques shown on her video. I'm also adding this card to Virginia's View Challenge #5 - Die Cut  and Moxie Fab World's Wonderful Words Challenge. I've been pretty busy with my new job and have not had much crafting time. I managed to submit three cards for publication this week and hope to get inky again on the weekend! Thanks for dropping by!!

Muse 61 - Jacquie Southas

When I saw Jacquie as the Muse this week on Muse Challenge #61, I had a birthday card in mind to do. At our Craft Retreat two weekends ago, each of us were given a little gift bag of goodies from Joy Taylor. We were given so much stuff that weekend, I did not have a proper chance to look at what she gave us. Inside the bag was an assortment of Hero Arts cards and the colours were so yummy, I could not waste an entire card on one card. I decided to die cut them to make them into a birthday card. Of course, I couldn't stop at one card, I made another one at the same time! The colours were based on this week's Color Countdown colours. Thanks for dropping by!

Alphabet (Soup) Confetti Card

It's been a while since I've had time to participate in a few challenges. I recently received a couple of orders from PTI and I had to make this card with the goodies I just received! This card has been made for PTI Make it Mondays - Confetti challenge. I don't have any cover plate dies, so my new 'Happy' liner dies will do for this challenge. I also love the gold fold strip I got with the special Make It Market kit and have incorporated it into this card. I'm going to the Melbourne Grand Prix tomorrow,  looking forward to my first time to the GP! Hope I can capture some great photos! Have a great weekend!

Stripey Birthday Card

When I saw the Make It Monday video on PTI Capture the Moment, I wanted to try it but had to wait until the weekend until I had  a bit of time to experiment. I didn't want to do it the same way as Betsy Veldman as I thought it would be too messy with Post-It notes. I used double sided tape with pre-cut lines before I embossed. Afterwards, I just peeled off the tape layer by layer. I also used a technique shared by Jennifer McGuire for the sentiment die (3 layers of cardboard). The background stamping is done with my new PTI Super Stripes stamp set. The extra colours are added with markers and gel pens after stamping. The sentiment was originally stamped with Delicata gold pigment paint, but I had to quickly emboss this in gold as it didn't quite stand out against the stripes. I left this card unembellished as this will be a card for a male. As I used gold embossing in this card, I'm also submitting this for Moxie Fab World All that Glitters is Gold challenge, Simon Says Stamp Embossed Challenge and Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger In Transition.
