Masculine Farewell Card

It is sad at work when Voluntary Departure Packages are offered and quite often, some of our fellow colleagues who have been there for over 20 years take them. This week in our department at work, we say goodbye to 4 colleagues, some of whom I have worked closely with in the past. They are all leaving at the end of this week and there are lots of farewell lunches, afternoon teas and dinners. Well hey, guess what? I've been asked to make some of these cards. Here is one for a colleague I have worked with when I was in the laboratory three years ago. I used the colours of the current Color Throwdown #280, the vanilla being the cardstock colour and the PTI Love Potion stampset which was quite appropriate for my work! This card is A4 sized! Thanks for popping by!

Ingredients
Neenah cardstock, Papertrey Ink Love Potion and Folk Art, Hero Arts Pool, Green Hills and Navy, Ranger Archival Jet Black, My Minds Eyes Enamel dots.

CASE Study 172

It's so nice to do non Christmas card! This is my first one after over a month of Christmas card making!!  I based this technique on one of PTI's Make It Mondays videos on watercolour embossing, but it never made it before the challenge closed! I also added some sponging to it to emphasise the white embossed image. This card is based on a CASE Study photo below. Hope you had a great new year and thanks for dropping by!

Ingredients
Neenah Solar White, PTI Folk Art Stamp set, Versamark, Ranger Archival Jet Black, White EP, Distress Ink Pads - Mowed Lawn, Picked Raspberry and Salty Ocean, Enamel dots from MME

Ombre Card

I tend to struggle when there is an 'Ombre' challenge. After watching Nicole's video on Papertrey Ink's 'Make it Monday', I decided to give it a go. I don't have a lot of PTI stamps and after going through the stamp sets I do have, I decided to use the flourish stamp on the Big and Bold Wishes. I also don't have many PTI inks and decided to use my Hero Arts inks instead. Here's my card and I'm also linking it up to The Twinery's Twine Madness challenge and A Blog Named Hero's It's a Man's Man's Man's World challenge!. Thanks for dropping by!

Ingredients:
Cardstock - Neenah Solar White and Desert Storm
Stamps - PTI Folk Art and Big Bold Wishes
Ink - Hero Arts Soft Granite, Pool and Navy, Versamark White Chalk Ink
Others - Enamel dots from My Minds Eyes, Midnight Blue Twine from The Twinery

Sending a hug for Maddy

I wanted to send another card for Maddy after sending one two weeks ago. Details of the Card Drive for Maddy can be found here on Simon Says Stamp. This card was inspired by Dawn's Make it Monday tutorial on Papertrey Ink this week. Although I do not have many PTI dies, I used my MFT DieNamics dies instead. The colours of my card are also loosely based on this week's Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger. By the way, have a look at who is the Moxie Fabber this week - none other than a fellow Melbournian, Jenny Martin from My Paper Epiphany! Congrats Jenny!
Another quick mention before I go. My washi tape blogs have gone viral tonight over a thread at Splitcoast Stampers! Thanks Carolyn for starting the thread!
I am also entering this card to CAS-ual Fridays CFC104-Banners and Flags challenge.

The only element that I kept was the the colour pink! Anyway here is my card with some colouring using distress markers. I've decided to enter this card to CASology:Week44-Bloom and Simon Says Stamp Flower Power challenges. Thanks for dropping by!

Pattern Play

I haven't blogged too much this month due to other commitments, one of them is submitting more cards for publication - wish me luck! When I saw this week's Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger, I knew what I wanted to make. I recently purchased some PTI stamps with Jenny from My Paper Epiphany and we saved heaps in postage! It also gave us an excuse to meet up for coffee last week, it was nice to meet a fellow blogger face to face! Part of my purchase included the newly released Folk Art series.  Lining up the PTI stamps is harder to do than it seems! If someone can give me some hints on how to do this, I would love to know. Anyway here is my card, don't look too closely at my stamping! I decided to use Retro Sketch #34 for this week's challenge and also submitting to Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes challenge. Thanks for dropping by!
