Peace and Joy

These are the last  of my Christmas cards and I've started giving them out on the weekend. I've use the Simon Says Stamp Tim Holtz Stamptember set to make this series of cards. They were so easy to make in production line with the Misti! I'm adding this to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes. Thanks for dropping by!

Baby it’s cold outside

We are at the start of Summer in Melbourne and just in the last two weeks, we’ve had a cold snap with lots of rain and windy days! I’ve had fun in mass producing some really easy Christmas cards using the Simon Says Stamp Stamptember release of the Tim Holtz stamps. The huge Glorious Gatherings stamp is so large, I’ve managed to create two cards with the one stamp. I also love all the Christmas sentiments which came with the set. I’m adding this to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Baby it’s cold outside!

CTS 297

I had fun making these really quick Christmas cards. The first one was based on a sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch challenge. I decided to use my new Tim Holtz stamps for this challenge. I stamped the image around 3-4 times using my Misti with two shades of inks. The sentiment was gold embossed and background splatters were made with the same ink and gold watercolour ink. The second card was made with the image cut out, mounted on gold card stock and dimensional foam added. I ended up making 6 of the second card! Thanks for dropping by!

November Inspiration

Back with another Inspiration challenge from Altenew. As I do not have any Altenew Christmas stamps, I decided to use small stamps from a combination of stamp sets to make a wreath. As I was using the Misti and rotating the stamps, the first one was round and the others turned out squarish! As it was so much fun to produce multiple cards with the Misti, I made a series of 6 cards in the one session with gold and silver embossed sentiment. I still have a lot more Christmas cards to make! Thanks for dropping by!

I've kick started my Christmas card making with a series of 5 cards based on the current CAS(E) this Sketch challenge. Just imagine the sketch upside down... perfect as a Christmas tree! I adhered patterned paper to Neenah card stock and cut strips of same sizes. They were then trimmed to various lengths and foam tape was added to each strip. The assembly was fun and the gold star finished off the tree nicely. This is a great way of using left over patterned paper! Thanks for dropping by!

More Washi Fun!

I have another series of cards I made with my new Altenew washi tape stash. These were so easy to make. I adhered the tapes to Neenah card stock and fussy cut them whilst watching TV (I can never be idle watching TV, I'm either knitting or crafting). Assembling them was fun and I added some adhesive foam tape to some to add some dimension. Please find my previous blogpost on a similar technique on different washi tapes. Thanks for dropping by!

Christmas Challenge with Michelle

Hi everyone! I'm most excited to share a card for my crafty friend Michelle from Handmade by Michelle. She asked me to pick a Christmas challenge for her. I didn't have to think long to pick something that will be challenging for someone who is so good with water colours and alcohol inks! My challenge is to make a Christmas card with patterned paper! Here is the link to Michelle's challenge card and below is the card I made with patterned paper from Kaisercraft Mint Wishes. This was last year's collection but I loved it so much, I bought more after Christmas when they were on sale! I'm also in love with this new stamp from Tim Holtz, love the details in this image! Thank you Michelle for getting me started on my Christmas card!! Looking forward to the rest of the challenges! I'm also adding this to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Anything Goes challenge.

October Inspiration

I can't believe that October is nearly over and Christmas is almost here! I have a card to share for the Altenew October inspiration challenge. I don't really make a lot of orange cards and decided to challenge myself after seeing the colour palette. I picked 2 shades of yellow, one orange and one brown to make the following card. Thanks for dropping in!

Christmas Card 2018 - 1

My first Christmas card for 2018!

I made this card at a recent craft retreat and I used borrowed supplies to make this card. I experimented with alcohol inks during this retreat and created the background for these cards. I just loved the die cut windows which made this shaker card easy to create! Thanks for dropping by!

WCMD Challenge 2018-1

I had a busy weekend for World Card Making Day. I managed to squeeze in a couple of cards. This one is for a 60th Wedding celebration. I decided to use my newly acquired Simon Says Stamp October kit stamp for the background image of an A5 sized card. I then stamped the sentiment and die cut out the numbers. I used several coats of clear embossing powder to create a lovely finish on the numbers. I'd also layered the numbers on a stack of gold cardstock. Happy WCMD!!

Rose Filament Birthday

I have another card to share. I used the Altenew Rose Filament dies and traced the outlines onto watercolour card stock. I loosely coloured them with the Altenew Pan set and then diecut the shapes. Then the fun part, arranging them in the background of the card and then die cutting the rectangle shape. Some sentiments added and it was done! I'm adding this to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.

Kaisercraft Baby Love

I have a couple of baby cards to share. Two of my friends had baby girls within two weeks of each other. Since trying to organise my Craft Room on the weekend, I came to the realisation that I am hoarding too much patterned paper pads. I love going to the local Kaisercraft store and buying discounted paper pads and Collectables! So I thought I better start using them! The first card below is for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes and the second card is based on the current Fusion Card Challenge Baby Shower sketch. Oh, guess what? No stamps were harmed during the making of these cards! Thanks for dropping by!

Alcohol Inks

I spent an one Saturday afternoon playing around with alcohol inks on Yupo paper and ended up with a big stash of goodies for making a card. I had to make some masculine birthday cards on the weekend and it was great using this stash. Here are two I made with two different backgrounds. I used a black cardstock to off-set the silver 'Happy' die cut and then popped them up on foam tape. I'm adding this to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Pop It Up! Thanks for dropping by!

September Inspiration

It's been a while since I've blogged. So to make up for the long absence, I made a series of cards last weekend as I'm running out of birthday cards! Yes, it has finally caught up with me! I decided to try a cotton blend water colour card for the flowers which were stamped in black and loosely water coloured with my new Altenew Pan set. The background was inked with stencils and then splattered with more paint. The flowers were splattered with white paint from my Gansai Tambi water colours. Thanks for dropping by!

Just a beautiful day

I have a card to share which I made during the week for this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Anything Goes challenge. The flowers and leaves were coloured (wet on wet) with Altenew inks on watercolour paper and then fussy cut. The background was created with some splashes of the same inks and then a stencil was applied over the top with texture paste. Thanks for dropping by!

Bright and Cheerful

I'm sharing a gold embossed card on water colour cardstock. I left the images blank and decided to just drop colours into the the pre-wetted background. It was really easy and fun to make! I'm adding this to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Bright and Cheerful! Thanks for dropping by!
