I was inspired by Keeway Tsao's card in this month's PTI May Release. I used an old stamp set which is one of my all time favourite with distress inks on watercolour card.  I'm adding this to the PTI Create along with us challenge. Thank you for dropping by!

Materials:
Stamps - PTI Friends Til the End

Back again with another card I made this weekend for the PTI MIM Colour Isolation Challenge based on Michele Ferguson's card on the current Muse Challenge. The stamps are from PTI and the flower was coloured with Copic markers. Thanks for dropping by!

Ribbon Christmas Tree

I was inspired by Melissa's fabric Christmas tree card on the current Papertrey Ink Make it Monday challenge. As I don't have a lot of fabric scraps, I decided to use my very much neglected ribbon stash. They certainly got a good workout in making this fun card. I couldn't find a star, but I'm sure I have one somewhere... so I used a gem instead. I'm also adding this to Virginia View's Challenge - All About Textures. Thanks for dropping by!

PTI June Blog Hop

I love the inspiration photo for this month's PTI blog hop! After searching through my neglected patterned paper pads, I decided to pick a Basic Grey set and I was lucky to have a matching flower as well. It all came together quite quickly when I decided to use Danielle Flanders' Make It Monday card - Bringing the Inside Out. So the flower is actually stuck on the inside of the card! Can't wait to see the other cards - Happy Blog Hopping!

Clean and Simple White Card

This card was made inspired by PTI Make It Monday #209 - White on White. This was an easy card to make, all white on white with one flower highlighted. I love the look of it and could not resist adding this unsual sentiment to it using my favourite EP from Ranger. The flower die cuts and stampset are from PTI Happiness in Bloom and the sentiment also from PTI. I also added pink wink of stella to the flower and a sequin. Now, I'll have to find the right person to give this card to! Thanks for dropping by!

Colourful Card Corner

This is my late entry for the Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #196 - Colourful Card Corners. I followed Danielle's video, but used distress inks (Tattered Rose, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserve, Bundled Sage and Mowed Lawn) instead as I don't have a big range of PTI dye inks. Here is my card, the card corner is flipped to the bottom (accidentally placed the stamp the wrong way up). I used a combination of three PTI stamp sets for this card, and I'm not sick of water colouring yet! Thanks for dropping by!

Happy New Year 2015!

My first blog post for 2015 is a Happy New Year card I made on the first day of the year. We've been out for lunch and when I saw Virginia's View New Challenge posted, I knew what I wanted to make! This card is based on the Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #195 A La Carte Challenge. The challenge is to re-visit all the challenges from 2014 and make something based on one of the ones that we have not had a chance to do. This one is based on Laura Bassen's #193 Camouflaging Die Cuts. I left plenty of white space so that it qualifies to be an entry for Virginia's View #11 Clean Slate Challenge. Did anyone see the results of the last challenge? My only two entries during this very busy month in December got a highlight and a Top Ten Spotlight!! Thanks Virginia!! Here is my card and the triggers below it. HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Thanks for dropping by!

PTI May Blog Hop

I've had a crazy last couple of weeks. I spent 4 days away to attend a wedding in Malaysia and caught up with some of my cousins I have not seen for over 40 years! Then when I came back, I finished my last two weeks at work and there were lots of farewells, lunches and dinners! I'm now on a three week break before I start my new job at The Children's Hospital. I've been too busy to make any cards over the last couple of weeks, but I was very tempted by the current PTI Make It Monday and the May Blog Hop. I've decided to combine the two challenges.  The theme of the May Blog Hop is Aqua and Melon. I don't have these colours in my limited range of ink pads. The closest I have is the distress inks and I picked the closest colours I could to fit the theme. I also had fun with the water colouring! Please excuse the poor photo, my speed light didn't quite recover from a bad fall last week! Thanks for dropping by, can't wait to see the other cards in the Blog Hop!!

Card - Neenah Solar White, Watercolour card
Stamps - PTI A Sweet Life, Happiness In Bloom
Inks - Tim Holtz Distress Inks Evergreen Bough, Peacock Feathers, Dried Marigold and Spiced Marmalade, Ranger Archival Jet Black

Masculine Happy 50th

This is a fun birthday card I made for my not-so-much-younger-than-me-brother who turned 50 last week. I've been having fun with my new PTI Happy liner die! It was fiddly getting the alphabets in a different colour, but I'm happy with the result! I'm putting this card into Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes Challenge and also into the PS April Guest Designer Search. I've got a few photos to share that I took at the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne today. I found it very hard to take a good photo!

Ingredients
Cardstock – Neenah Solar White and Desert Storm, Black Cardstock
Dies – Paper Smooches Digits and Leaf, PTI Sale Tag and Happy, Simon Says Stamps Stars
Stamp - Paper Smooches Digits
Embellishments –Hemp and cord from Hemptique

PapertreyInk October Blog Hop 2 - Mehndi Tags

I usually don't make a lot of tags except during Christmas. The ones I made last year were quick and fast and done when I'm about to wrap all the gifts. The PTI October Blog Hop has pushed me to get mine done early this year! I usually decide on a colour scheme for my Christmas wrappings and the rest just fall into place. The tags I made would be suitable for plain white, red or kraft paper with a bit of natural or red twine or ribbon. I made these tags by inking up my new Mega Mehndi stamp for the first time (I just love the detailing on the stamp) before die cutting the tag! Oops, I made 6 tags again due to the fact I used three colours and wanted to try them on two different card stock. Here are my tags and thanks for stopping by!

Ingredients:
Neenah Solar White and Desert Storm, PTI Mehndi Medallion and Holiday Photo Finishers, Hero Arts Red Royal and Cup O'Joe, Memento Tuxedo Black, PTI Tag Sale #3,  Red ribbon.

PTI September Blog Hop

When I first saw the Wreaths challenge for the PTI September blog hop, I wanted to ink up my newly acquired 'Happiness in Bloom' stamp set, just perfect for this challenge! When I inked up the first card, I wasn't quite happy with it and decided to do a smaller second card (12x12cm). The second card uses the colours of the Colour Throwdown challenge #261. When stamping the second card, I wanted to try Bokeh stamping and went a little bit overboard... I went back to the first card and added to it. These are the end results, I think I like the second one better, what do you think? I'm also linking this card to Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Challenge even though the PTI stamps are not available at SSS, all the inks and enamel dots I used were purchased from SSS. I'm also adding them to Moxie Fab World's Handmade Cards Week Colour Media challenge.
By the way, I was very happy tonight, my card for CASE Study Challenge 158 was picked as the winning card... Yay! My first win in CSC!

Ingredients:

Neenah Solar White, PTI Happiness in Bloom, Hero Arts Pale Tomato, Butter Bar, Pool, Stone Wash, Field Green and Green Hills, Ranger Archival Jet Black, Blue Marker, MME enamel dots.

I had a quick 21st card to make and I wanted to use the inspiration photo from Runway Inspired Challenge #38 Burberry Prorsum Resort and the sketch from Retro Sketch Challenge. The theme for the June Blog Hop on Papertrey Ink is to use gold. Here is my card! Since there is a mixy-matchy patterns and colours, I'm putting this into the Moxie Fab World Mixy-Matchy challenge and Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes challenge. Come back tomorrow as I have made another 21st Guest Book to share with my fellow bloggers. Thanks for dropping by!

Danielle's 21st Album and Card

I received an order for a 21st album a few weeks ago. Danielle liked the album I made for my niece Sarah and wanted something similar for her 21st party and she wanted the theme colour to be turquoise and vintage style and also enough room for about 80 guests to sign. I added pink as the contrast colour. The album is done in the same way I did Sarah's but this time, I used Kaisercraft papers and they are sightly larger than the My Minds Eyes papers I used last time. The numbers were painted and then embossed with silver (I love this effect).  Quite a variety of stamps we're used - I think I have covered them all in the list below. I also made a card to match for Danielle. As this is going to be a lengthy post, the card is shown first. The card will be submitted to Inspired Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday, CAS-ual Fridays Banners and Flags and the album for Simon Says Stamp's S Challenge (S for Stamping) and The Twinery's Twine Madness challenge. Thanks for dropping by!

Mr and Mrs

I've had a really great crafting weekend this weekend, the creative juices are still running! I made 2 more cards last night for a publication submission and submitted them way before the due date (this is a record for me)! I had so much fun doing them last night that I forgot I was going to do one for the Papertrey Ink May Blog Hop this weekend and it is due in less than 3 hours! Yikes! So first thing this morning, before a shower or breakfast, I made this card with a cup of tea by my side! I also based the sketch on the current Fusion challenge. Thanks for dropping by... I'm off to have breakfast and a shower!

Paper - Basic Grey True Love 12x12
Stamps - PTI The Sweet Life and Big Bold Wishes
