I'm overwhelmed with the number of giveaways and challenges for World Card Making Day. This is my first time and I am having a really great time. I made one card in the morning yesterday and was planning to make more in the afternoon when all that got changed when I had to babysit my DH's two nieces. So I got them involved in making some cards! They made 6 birthday cards for their Nonnno (birthday today), their Dad, their cousin and a friend. The 12 year old was pretty good as she thought long and hard when planning her card. I gave the 7 year old a bit of a helping hand. We had fun but I only got to make one tag with them! After they left and the roast was in the oven, I dashed into my craft room and made a Christmas card that I have been experimenting with. I wanted to use the bright colours of the Seasonal Distress Inks, and guess what? They are no longer seasonal -
announcement from Ranger yesterday! I used the Specialty Stamping paper (my first attempt with Neenah cardstock did not work) and inked up the card with three colours, stamped and embossed with glitter EP then spritzed with water. I was pretty pleased with the end result!
