I have a card to share today for our ANZAC Day to commemorate the fall of Australian and New Zealand soldiers during the war. This was made at our recent craft retreat with a borrowed Penny Black stamp which I absolutely love! The card was coloured with Copic markers and a white gel pen. The background was masked on two sides and the distress ink was brushed on with a Clarity brush (again borrowed at the retreat). I'm adding this to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Showers and/or Flowers. Lest we forget.
Materials: Stamps - Penny Black Poppy Time, MFT Deepest Sympathy Inks - Copic Markers, Distress Ink Broken China
I'm very excited to ink up my latest purchase from Hero Arts! The watercolour panel was inked and masked with the Dahlia stamp and water coloured with Zig markers. Love the effect! I'm adding this to the current Fusion Card Challenge, CAS(E) This Sketch, Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Showers or Flowers challenge and A Blog Named Hero's Anything Goes challenge. Materials: Stamps - Hero Arts Artistic Dahlia and Many Everyday Sentiments Inks - Versafine, Zig Clean Colour Markers, Versamark and Hero Arts white EP
I made this card by stamping a spotted background stamp with various coloured inks and then die cutting the butterfly. The frame background was made with a scallop frame die and the inside square was embossed to add a bit of textured interest. I'm adding this card to the current A Blog Named Hero's Anything Goes challenge. Thanks for dropping by!
I had such a busy Easter weekend that I only managed to make one card to blog!! I recently found a stash of original wood block stamps that I purchased when I started stamping over 20 years ago! There was a local stamp shop that stocked a lot of PSX stamps and a lot of my stamps were purchased from this shop. I was inspired by the bunch of tulips as I had a some pink tulips for our Easter Sunday dinner. When I purchased them from the florist, the sales lady gave told me to put a silver coin in the vase to prevent them from flopping. In all the years I have bought tulips, I have never heard this before and all my tulips usually flopped after a day or two. I've got a photo below of our table set up the day after I bought the tulips. All upright!! As I blog this on Monday night, they are still upright!! The card below shows what will happen if you don't add a coin to the vase!! I've based the design of the card on the current CAS(E) this sketch challenge and I'm linking it up to the current Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - Tulips. Hope everyone had a great Easter weekend! Thanks for dropping by!!

During a recent Craft Retreat, one of the ladies brought along a Lawn Fawn Scalloped Box Die set. Needless to say, we all had fun making at least one box card each! Here are two cards I made with the dies. I'm adding the first one to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Spring Colour Inspiration. Happy Easter and thank you for dropping by!

I have another shaker card to share which I made at our Craft Retreat last month. The background was inked with Distress Oxides with some Perfect Pearls mist and white paint splashed on top. The glimmer on the background is better in real life. The rest of the card was constructed with dies from MFT and Simon Says Stamp. I added the '50' when I got back as I wanted to use it for a 50th birthday card. The full list of materials used are listed below. I'm adding this to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Happy Birthday Challenge. Thank you for dropping by!

I'm back with a quick card I made today. It's been a busy weekend and I had no time to make anything until everything (household stuff) was done on Sunday night. I wanted to use this stampset for a wedding card and combined two challenges at the same time:- Fusion Card Easter Challenge and Winne and Walter Rerun - Big Bold and Extras challenge. Here is a combination of the two! Materials used: Stamps - Winnie and Walter and Hero Arts Paper - Kaisercraft High Tea Inks - Versafine, Momento and Copic Markers
Thank you to all the lovely comments received on the A Blog Named Hero 10th Anniversary Blog Hop last week! The winners of the Blog Hop were announced here. There sure were quite a few inspirational posts from some remarkable ladies! I'm back with another one of my cards made during a recent Craft Retreat. This one is for Mother's Day and I've used my Mother's favourite flower in this card combined with my MIL's favourite colours. Yes, I made two of them at the same time!

Here is my card and thank you for dropping by!

I have another 21st album to share from a client order all the way from the United Kingdom. I received the order just before going on the craft retreat a few weeks ago and I was able to work on the album at the retreat. I made this album vintage style in keeping with the album she saw on my blog. The album is quite easy to make with two pieces of cardstock joined to make a concertina album. The pages within the album are all 6.5x6.5 patterned paper from Kaisercraft. All my patterned paper pads at home are all missing pages with not many patterns on them!! I painted the numbers with Kaisercraft paint and heat embossed the Hero Arts Leafy Vines background stamp in gold. The edges are sponged with gold paint - all the materials I used are listed below.
I'm adding this to Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Things with Wings and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes. Thanks for dropping by!
