HA June Sketches

Back again with a couple of cards I made from the current Hero Arts June sketches. It is so good to combine one of them with a challenge from A Blog Named Hero (colours challenge). The first card is pretty straight forward and easy. I made a second one with the same sketch as I wasn't too happy with the washi tapes I used for the first one. I only used one tape in this one as I wanted to feature some of the colours in the patterned papers from BG Picadilly.

The second card is a also from the HA June sketches. I spent a bit of time with this picking out the papers and then decided to add a bit of stamping, washi tape and fussy cut a flower from the BG Plumeria paper. This one will be submitted for the Embellish Collage Colour Trends challenge. Details of the two cards and the challenge details are below.
I will not be posting anything until next week as I will be going to Brisbane on Friday to attend Tim Holtz's Workshop and the Brisbane Scrapbook and Papercraft Expo on the weekend. I will write a blog when I get back. I will be posting on twitter if you want to see what I get up to. Looking forward to a crafty weekend in sunny Queensland! Thanks for dropping by!

Plumeria Hello

Been busy this week, a little bit behind with a few things I have to do before we go away next weekend for a wedding in Jakarta. I participated in the Spring card swap in the Flickr Hero Art group. I send my card to Marcy and I receive a card from Arlene. It's a little bit daunting as there are some brilliant card makers in the group, so I had to make a really nice card to send. I have been admiring Joy Taylor's Basic Grey card and decided to participate in BG's challenge to case it. The card was made with no stamping using BG patterned papers. I rummaged through my BG 6x6 cards and picked the Plumeria papers as I have not used them yet. I also added some a strip of patterned paper to the envelope. Here is my card and Joy's card is below. I've decided to change the way I post my photos as I am now using LinkWithin and it shows the first photo in a post. This card is destined for Marcy in USA, hope she likes it! Have a great weekend!
