Danielle's 21st Album and Card

I received an order for a 21st album a few weeks ago. Danielle liked the album I made for my niece Sarah and wanted something similar for her 21st party and she wanted the theme colour to be turquoise and vintage style and also enough room for about 80 guests to sign. I added pink as the contrast colour. The album is done in the same way I did Sarah's but this time, I used Kaisercraft papers and they are sightly larger than the My Minds Eyes papers I used last time. The numbers were painted and then embossed with silver (I love this effect).  Quite a variety of stamps we're used - I think I have covered them all in the list below. I also made a card to match for Danielle. As this is going to be a lengthy post, the card is shown first. The card will be submitted to Inspired Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday, CAS-ual Fridays Banners and Flags and the album for Simon Says Stamp's S Challenge (S for Stamping) and The Twinery's Twine Madness challenge. Thanks for dropping by!

Mother's Day Cards

I've got more good news to share! I applied for the 2013 DT for Kaisercraft a few weeks ago and was not expecting to hear from them. Lo and behold, an email was received last week informing me that I have been selected for the next round! Yikes! I will be sent 2 new collections and I have to make 2 cards, 2 layouts and one OTP project. Layouts are not my forte.... but I'll give it a go! I cannot blog these projects until the collections are released - they are both gorgeous and I'm going to have fun with them!
I've been so busy that  I almost forgot that I have two more Mother's Day cards to make. Yes, I make cards for 3 Mums, my own, my partner's and my ex's. This one I made a few weeks ago. I loved the Case Study this week so much that I made more cards based on Maile Belles' card. I've ordered another Happy Mothers Day stamp, but it has not arrived yet. So I'm going with the only stamp I have, which happens to be a Kaisercraft stamp! I'm also submitting these cards to A Blog Named Hero's All That Glitters challenge. For all the Mums out there, have a great weekend!

Paper - Kaisercraft Bonjour
Stamp - Hero Arts CG255 Kaisercraft Sentiment

Hi and back again with another card I made for a 60th birthday. I wanted to use the Retro sketch from this week's challenge and combined it with a Parisian theme. I found the perfect tag in Kaisercraft's Bonjour 6x6 pad! It was really easy to put together once I decided on which paper and ribbon to use. I'm also submitting this card to Moxie Fab World Asymmetry challenge. Thanks for dropping by!

Vivre

It's my Mum's 77th birthday tomorrow. I've made a card for her with a Paris theme as she is going to Europe later this month. I've decided to use the colours of the CR84FN53 challenge (Pink, Aqua and Neutral) and the Retro#9 sketch. The Kaisercraft Bonjour collection have a lot of beautiful colours and I spent last night cutting out butterflies, flowers and a crown which suited the layout of the card.
Here is my card using two HA flowers and sentiment stamped in Bubblegum, and a crown from the KC Bonjour collection. The three elements were mounted on dimensional foam. Yes, I would love to go to Paris one day!! We are taking Mum to the Opera for her birthday to see Turandot, her Italian lessons will come in handy as the opera is all in Italian!! Thanks for dropping by!

Challenges:
Hero Arts May Challenge - Happy Birthday
Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Happy Birthday Simon
Ingredients:
Cardstock - Neenah Cream, Pink Bazzill
Paper - Kaisercraft Bonjour
Stamps - HA Four Flowers, All Occasion
Ink - HA Bubblegum
Others - HA Hero Hues Dots, KC Rhinestones, Twine from The Twinery

Mother's Day Card

As Mother's Day is not far away now and I have three cards to make, I thought I better get cracking. I decided to use the MFTWSC66 sketch and Marcy's colour palette challenge (How Green is your Spring) from Our Creative Corner. Any excuse to use the new stamp from Kaisercraft I purchased at the Melbourne Paperific Expo!

I really love my MFT Die-namics butterflies and wanted to try layering all three on top of each other. I also used the Kaisercraft Bonjour paper, edged with TH Distress ink Tattered Rose. I am also submitting this card for the Simon Says Stamp (Your Favourite Tool - Big Shot).

Another card I would like to share was made at the recent Paperfic Expo I attended. I attended a class conducted by Stamp-It Australia using Stamp-It Dragonfly stamp set and TH distress inks and Ranger Colour Wash to colour a flower from the TH Tattered Florals Die (which I already have). The original card was made by Shasta and Ursula Pope and here is my version of it. The brad and dragonflies were painted with Perfect Pearls and the edges inked with Vintage Photo. The flower was washed with Wild Plum - love the colour! Happy Easter to everyone!
