Casing Lisa Spangler

Another great muse at CASE Study this week - the wonderful Lisa Spangler. The card is a great one to case but I don't have any ink daubers, so I used my new banner stamp from Simon Says Stamp and also a new PTI stamp which was inked for the first time. I'm also submitting this card to CAS-ual Fridays - Banners and Flags challenge and the ColourQ challenge. I would also like to welcome new followers on my blog and Pinterest account from Splitcoaststampers - thank you for all the comments and repins! Thanks for dropping by!

Ingredients:
Cardstock - Neenah Solar white, Navy and green cardstock in my stash
Stamps - Simon Says Stamp Best Mom Ever and Papertrey Ink Sentiment
Ink - Hero Arts Soft Granite, Pool, Field Greens and Navy
Others - Enamel dots from My Minds Eyes

Sending a hug for Maddy

I wanted to send another card for Maddy after sending one two weeks ago. Details of the Card Drive for Maddy can be found here on Simon Says Stamp. This card was inspired by Dawn's Make it Monday tutorial on Papertrey Ink this week. Although I do not have many PTI dies, I used my MFT DieNamics dies instead. The colours of my card are also loosely based on this week's Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger. By the way, have a look at who is the Moxie Fabber this week - none other than a fellow Melbournian, Jenny Martin from My Paper Epiphany! Congrats Jenny!
Another quick mention before I go. My washi tape blogs have gone viral tonight over a thread at Splitcoast Stampers! Thanks Carolyn for starting the thread!
I am also entering this card to CAS-ual Fridays CFC104-Banners and Flags challenge.

Ingredients:
Cardstock - Neenah Solar White

Stamps - PTI Bold Wishes and Folk Art
Die - MFT Dienamics Fishtail Flags STAX

Carolina Herrera Card

I'm back again with a one layer card which came together very easily. The inspiration is from Runway Inspired Challenge #28 - Carolina Herrera. I picked colours from the dress for the card and used the Eclipse masking sheet for the first time.  I also used an extra long card for the CAS-ual Friday Long and Short challenge and used Retro Sketch #47. As I'm using an old Hero Arts stamp set (Many Dots), I'm also entering this card to the A Blog Named Hero's Golden Oldie challenge and Moxie Fab World Make a Background challenge. Thanks for dropping by!

Cardstock - Neenah Solar White
Stamps - Hero Arts CL519 Many Dots, CL497 Find Joy

Washi Thank You

Some of my regular followers will know that I won $100 worth of MT wash tapes before Christmas with this card. I made a 'Thank You' card for Sam from Paperpoint who picked my winning card from the November washi tape contest on Facebook. This card was made with some of my winnings and some tapes already in my stash. Paperpoint is my favourite shop to visit in South Melbourne. I get all my card stock (they are now stocking Neenah Desert Storm) in A3 sheets and cut them down to size. They also have a great range of ribbons, card stock and patterned papers! I love going there!! CAS-ual Fridays have just announced their new challenge today - CAS Thank You card! The sister to this card (the negative) will be submitted for a magazine publication as I like it a lot! This card is also submitted for Simon Says Stamp's Use Washi Tape Challenge!
My card is below...

This is the stash I won from PaperPoint. I added a tape cutter to my collection. It came in handy during Christmas when I used it for place cards, last minute gift tags, etc. I can't wait to use some of the other tapes...

Ingredients:
Cardstock - Neenah Solar White
Tapes - MT
Dies - MFT DieNamics alphabets
Others - Rhinestones and pearls from Kaisercraft

Merry Christmas

It's been so strange this year, for the first time I am really organised. It is Christmas Eve and the table for 20 is set for tomorrow night. Dessert is made, cookies done, presents all under the tree, turkey stuffed (with help from a live-in Chef) and I even had time to make a very quick card. This card is for my Mum as I wanted to make her one with a religious message. I'm entering this card into Ellen Hutson's Hero Arts Clear Stamps challenge and also CASual Friday's 10 minute card (Dashing thru' the holidays). This card is one layer and so easy to make. The cardstock was sponged with 4 shades of distress inks. The stamps were stamped in black and then sprayed with Perfect Pearls. Sorry about the poor quality of photo -was been taken at night and my Nikon has finally been expired!
Merry Christmas everyone and enjoy the Festive season. I'll be back briefly tomorrow to show my table settings for tomorrow night!

Here's another shot taken the next morning! You can see the shimmer from the Perfect Pearls!

Ingredients:
Cardstock - Neenah Solar White 280gsm and 318 gsm
Stamps - Hero Arts CL559 Greatest Gift
Inks - Tim Holtz Broken China, Chipped Sapphire, Tea Dye and Gathered Twigs, Ranger Archival Jet Black
Others - Ranger Perfect Pearls, Kaisercraft gem, Silver paint marker

Thank You James

I made another A4 sized card to farewell a work colleague. After I assembled the card, I decided to add some stamping to the background strip, so there is a bit of smudging as the overlap needed to be masked off. Anyway, hope no one notices my mistake. I love this new water droplets stamp by Designs by Ryn which I recently received. I was the first one to upload to CAS-ual Fridays' Snips, Snails and Puppy Dog Tails challenge and maybe the last before it closes soon! Thanks for dropping by.

Ingredients:
Cardstock - Neenah Solar White, Black cardstock
Paper - Kaisercraft After Five Collection
Stamps - Hero Arts CL544, Designs by Ryn CM-T3
Ink - Hero Arts Wet Cement, Ranger Archival Jet Black
Dies - Spellbinders Nestabilities
Others - Amy Tangerine Thickers, Hemtique Hemp

Black and White Retro

I had to clear all my crafting mess from the dining table last week as we had a family birthday celebration. It gave me a chance to organise my newly assembled Alex drawers from Ikea. It's so nice to have everything neatly filed away in 6 large drawers! I've used the colours of the CAS-ual Fridays challenge (Black and White +One) with this week's Retro sketch. I've also taught myself to crochet flowers as I'd rather make them than buy them. I've had fun making them in baker's twine with various colours. I'm also submitting this card into the Moxie Fab World Gallon/Quart and Pint challenge - White is Gallon, Black is Quart and Red is Pint! Thanks for dropping by!

Orange Flowers

Really wet in Melbourne today. We have a public holiday in remembrance for the ANZAC soldiers. Good to be at home today. I have been deliberating for a while about making a window card for A Blog Named Hero, and I finally came upon a sketch which would be perfect for this challenge. I also used the colours of the Runway Inspired challenge! This week's Simon Says Stamp challenge is 'Anything Goes' - a perfect card to add to another challenge!
I decided to go for an all white background on a bright orange card. My first card did not quite work out as it was more yellow than bright orange. I re-did it last night using Distress Ink Ripe Persimon and it was the perfect colour to match the challenge. The grey chevron patterned paper was from the Simon Says Stamp April kit and the sentiment is from Hero Arts.

CAS-ual Fridays CFC49 sketch
A Blog Named Hero Window challenge

Stamps - Hero Arts Four Flowers, Be Happy
Paper - Simon Says Stamp April kit
Inks - Tim Holtz Distress Ink Ripe Persimon, Ranger Archival Jet Black

April Flowers

This blog feels like 'deja-vous'! It was all ready and saved in draft for publishing today and the whole thing disappeared! Weird! Anyhow, I was very excited to receive my April kit from Simon Says Stamp two nights ago and made a card the same night!
I used the combined Retro Sketch #7 with the CAS-ual Friday challenge - Opposites Attract.

The washi tape was the first thing I noticed, I don't know what it is, but I'm addicted to them! The colour of the tape is purple and the colour opposite is yellow in the colour wheel. Most of the papers used were from the April kit, except in my excitement, I did not realise there were cardstock in the bottom of the box, so I used a purple cardstock from my stash! I also received the complete range of HA mid tone inks, so I had to use one of them for this card. This card is already in the safe hands of Australia Post destined for a fellow crafter. Hope she likes it! Thanks for stopping by!
Challenges:
Ingredients:
Paper: Simon Says Stamp April Kit, MME Blink of an Eye
Stamps: Hero Arts (CL519 Many Dots, K5541 Frame It Scrolls)
Ink: Hero Arts Mid Tone Stone Wash
Others: MS border punch, Kaisercraft pearls
