Painted Flowers

I was on a high last week from my trip overseas. Since being back at work and despite having a good week so far, I was received some really disappointing news which I'm not going to disclose yet. So when I got home, I was really happy about the A Blog Named Hero blog post, the scheduled post went well with a slight hitch which I fixed up. After dinner, I needed to make another card to take my mind off work. I decided to case Vicki Dutcher's Muse card this week. I was going to go for the same colours but decided to go for the Ombre look instead. The inks are a combination of three companies - Simon Says Stamp (Pale Blush Pink), Ranger (Pink Gumball) and Hero Arts (Pale Tomato). I had to add some sequins and pearls of course! I'm also adding this card to Virginia View's Ombre Challenge. Oh, did anyone see this post on Virginia's blog - my card got an Honourable Mention! I feel much better now, thanks for dropping by!

My Mum's 80th Birthday!

I had this card prepared a little while ago. The idea for the card came together very easily with the help of some new stamps from Winnie and Walter, my favourite Altenew Painted flowers stamp set and using watercolours with distress inks. Just the outline of the flowers were stamped randomly and the then coloured with Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserve and Mowed Lawn. I'm adding this card to Winnie and Walter's iNSD 2015 with Pinkfresh Studio Challenge - Create your own background and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.
This card was given to my Mum today for her 80th birthday! We had a lovely buffet lunch at The Conservatory at Crown followed by a photo shoot with the family. Scroll down for some of the photos taken today. Thanks for dropping by!

I'm back!

Finally, after a month off from blogland... I'm back!  I was very tied up with Chinese New Year activities and visitors from interstate and overseas over the past 4 weeks. I had a little bit of spare time today and sneaked into my craft room to produce this card. I have not had a lot of time to play with my new Kuretake Gansai Tambi water colours, so I made up for it today. I embossed the AlteNew Peonies with white EP and painted the colours on. I'd also added the pearl colour over the flowers, love the sheen on it!

Retro Sketch 138

A quick card for two challenges. I don't know why I had to make a card in the last hour and submit when I have lots of other things to do today. But I loved it!! Here's my card made in under one hour for the AltNew October Challenge and Retro Sketch 138. Have a great weekend! I'm off to make a hat for the Melbourne Cup Spring Carnival!

Persian Market

It's been a while since I've inked up any stamps! Here is one that I made a while ago for a publication submission but was not picked up. This was the first time I had stamped up my new AlteNew Persian Motifs! I just love the designs coloured in with Copic markers! Casing Debby

The new Case Study Challenge Muse is the ever so talented Debby Hughes. I love her style and love to case her cards. The first challenge for CSC#207 is a lovely card stamped on vellum and coloured on the back with Copics. I was lucky to just receive my new AlteNew stamp set (from my prize money for RIC) and it happened to be the same set that Debby used. Here is my card, and thanks for dropping by! Something New!

When I got my latest haul last week, I couldn't wait to ink up my new Alt&New stamp set! I wanted to use the sketch from CAS(E) this sketch #85 BY N Ali, and the colours from Runway Inspired challenge #64 - Bottega Venetta Resort 2015. Of course the card had to be CAS and took no time to make, great for a busy person like me! Thanks for dropping by!
