MFTWSC187

It's been quite a while since my last MFT challenge. I had an idea in my head as soon as I saw the MFTWSC187 sketch. I do not have the wider flag tail banners and the set I have is not wide enough to suit the sketch, so I have to hand cut the banner.  I'm also adding this to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Anything Goes challenge.

I would like to share some photos I took last night on a 3 hour photography walk with a Photographer. It was the first time I've tried taking long exposure photos with my new camera and tripod. I loved the results!

MFT Wednesday Sketch

I haven't entered into a MFT challenge for a little while now. The MFTWSC96 sketch really grabbed my attention. Since I recently won a set of DieNamics Fishtail banners, I wanted to put them to good use and turned the sketch into a Christmas card. This is my 14th Christmas card, I'm aiming to do at least 25 different cards so that I can post one on each day of December on my FB account! I'm also submitting this card to the Artfull Crafts's Christmas Countdown. Thanks for dropping by!

Ingredients:
Cardstock - Via Vellum Kraft
Paper - Kaisercraft December 25th 6x6
Stamp - MFT Christmas Sentiments
Dies - MFT Fishtail banners STAX, MFT Ornaments
Ink - Hero Arts Red Royal, Tim Holtz Gathered Twigs
Others - Hemptique twine, Kaisercraft rhinestones, White gel pen

Pink and Tan

I was very excited when I checked Pinterest this afternoon to find that someone had pinned my 'Two Butterflies' card made for MFTWSC67 sketch and it was repinned 46 times! My pin was only repinned once!
I had enough time this weekend to make another quick card. I wanted to combine two challenges: - CR84FN52 using the MFTWSC68 sketch. Love the pink/tan/cream colour combination!

I used papers from My Minds Eye A Happy Heart to put together the sketch. The washi tape had to make an appearance, my favourite embellishment. I also added the Kaisercraft blossom and pearls to finish off the card. The card turned out more pink than cream/tan. Thanks for dropping by!
Ingredients:
Paper - My Minds Eye A Happy Heart
Stamp - MFT Just My Type
Ink - HA Cup O'Joe, Tim Holtz Tea Dye
Extras - MS Ribbon loop punch, washi tape, Kaisercraft blossom and Kaisercraft pearls

MFTWSC67 Sketch

Another quick card to add to a challenge before it closes tomorrow! Better late than never! Sketch is below:
I used my new HA Friends Definition stamp for the background, inked with Tea Dye Distress Ink and layer some DP from Kaisercraft Vintage Timeless. The butterflies were painted with Perfect Pearls. Check back on Thursday, I have another card cooking in the oven! Thanks for dropping by!

Mother's Day Card

As Mother's Day is not far away now and I have three cards to make, I thought I better get cracking. I decided to use the MFTWSC66 sketch and Marcy's colour palette challenge (How Green is your Spring) from Our Creative Corner. Any excuse to use the new stamp from Kaisercraft I purchased at the Melbourne Paperific Expo!

I really love my MFT Die-namics butterflies and wanted to try layering all three on top of each other. I also used the Kaisercraft Bonjour paper, edged with TH Distress ink Tattered Rose. I am also submitting this card for the Simon Says Stamp (Your Favourite Tool - Big Shot).

Another card I would like to share was made at the recent Paperfic Expo I attended. I attended a class conducted by Stamp-It Australia using Stamp-It Dragonfly stamp set and TH distress inks and Ranger Colour Wash to colour a flower from the TH Tattered Florals Die (which I already have). The original card was made by Shasta and Ursula Pope and here is my version of it. The brad and dragonflies were painted with Perfect Pearls and the edges inked with Vintage Photo. The flower was washed with Wild Plum - love the colour! Happy Easter to everyone!

My first craft blog

Welcome to my new blogging space where I can share my creative journey with fellow bloggers around the world. I was very excited to be picked as the Terrific Top Three in the recent CR84FN49 challenge using the CardPatterns Sketch 154. I have no one to share the news with, so that is why I wanted to start blogging! I have only just started entering my cards in online challenges and found them fun as well as challenging.

So onto my next challenge.
I made this card last week for the MFTWSC63 sketch challenge. I had to wait for my new Typewriter stamp and die to arrive before I could get going with the card. Once I started, it was so easy! I love the old vintage typewriter and also the fonts on this stamp set!
I am still a novice at this and will be constantly tweaking until I am happy with the result. Thank you for stopping by!
