September Inspiration

It's been a while since I've blogged. So to make up for the long absence, I made a series of cards last weekend as I'm running out of birthday cards! Yes, it has finally caught up with me! I decided to try a cotton blend water colour card for the flowers which were stamped in black and loosely water coloured with my new Altenew Pan set. The background was inked with stencils and then splattered with more paint. The flowers were splattered with white paint from my Gansai Tambi water colours. Thanks for dropping by!

Musing Anita Bowden

When I saw Anita Bowden's card in the current Muse Challenge, it reminded me of a technique I had not used for quite a while. I inked up random spots on the card with distress inks Scattered Straw and Abandon Coral before embossing with some flowers. I then inked up the spaces between the flowers with Peeled paint and added more embossed flowers and leaves before revealing them with the last layer of Wilted Violet and Seedless Preserve.
