I'm back again with another Sympathy card for a friend who's mother just past away. I wanted to use the PTI roses again having been inspired by Jennifer McGuire, yet again! This card is based on the current CAS(E) this sketch challenge and also the PTI Blue Ombre Challenge. I have not tried this combination of blue inks before and I love it! I used the HA inks Pool, Stone Wash and Navy for the roses and Green Hills and Field Greens for the leaves. Thanks for dropping by!

Two Wedding Cards
Here are a couple of wedding cards that I have made that I have not posted yet. One is for an Asian couple and the other an Aussie couple, so both are quite different. For the Asian couple, I used my favourite Hero Arts Asian Dolls (these were my first HA stamps) and this time, I tried colouring their faces for the very first time. I usually use cream card stock so that I don't have to colour their faces.
The second card was made a while ago for a publication submission. This was made by stamping the rose on three different pattened papers and pieced together afterwards. I just love this rose stamp and I have made a few cards with this stamp. It's World Cardmaking day today, but I've been too busy with household duties to make any cards. I am enjoying all the beautiful cards posted today on all the Blog Hops around the world! Happy WCMD everyone!!
Edited To Add - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Use a Rubber or Clear Stamp
- CASE Study Challenge #161 (first card)

Curiosity?
The Kaisercraft Curiosity collection is finally out! A few months ago, I submitted some cards to Kaisercraft for the 2013-2014 DT call and I got into the second round (Top 20)... I think I might have been #20. Anyway we were given some 12x12 papers from two new collections and had to make a card and a layout out of each collection. I'm showing my submissions for the Curiosity collection below. The photo I used in the layout was one that I took of all the cousins from my side of the family, taken at a wedding last year. My son is the only male, the girls are my sister's and brother's children. It's a rare shot of them all as one of my nieces live in Sydney and the rest are here in Melbourne. I'm also linking this to Simon Says Stamp's Anything Goes Challenge and Moxie Fab World's It's Completely Collagical challenge.
The projects that got through were fantastic, so I'm not surprised mine wasn't in the running. I was encouraged to try again.
As I had left over papers, I made a 'Sympathy' card for someone from work. As a lot of people had to sign it, I made it A4 size using heavy duty Canson Colorline cardstock as the base It's a struggle to make big sized cards as a lot of the smaller stamps will not work. I went for my biggest flower stamp, the PTI Year of the Flowers Rose stamp and this seems to fill up the card quite nicely. Banners always work well for these big cards as well.
Ingredients:
Kaisercraft Curiosity 12x12 used in all projects

Sympathy Card
Canson Colorline card, Kaisercraft Miss Match 12x12, Kaisercraft Recollectables These Days, Hero Arts CL508 and CG509, PTI Year of the Flowers Roses stamp, HA Cup O'Joe, Tim Holtz Distress Gathered Twigs

Thinking of You
This card is for a work colleague who had an accident and is going to be away for a few months. This is a larger card than what I normally make as a few people from work signed it. It was another opportunity for me to use the lovely PTI Rose stamp and paper pieced with some lovely BG patterned papers. I'm submitting this card to Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes Challenge and Moxie Fab World Mixy Matchy Style challenge.
I'm busy this week with another order for a 21st album. I had fun shopping for the papers and embellishments to go with the album, I hope to share it on the weekend when I get it finished.

Paper Rose
My creative juices have been running on overdrive! I've been dying to make this card all week ever since I saw the paper piecing video by Melissa on Nicole Heady's Make It Monday. I was also waiting for my Ellen Hutson order for the Hero Arts medallion embossing folder. This arrived on Thursday and here is my creation. I'm also submitting this card to CASE study #142. I'm using Flickr for the first time to link photos on my blog. Hope it looks OK! For those wondering about my Kaisercraft DT call - I've just submitted 2 cards, 2 layouts and an OTP project last week. The projects are due in on Monday 28th, so I got them off early. The cards were very easy to do as the papers were very nice, but the layouts were a bit of a challenge, hope the judges like them! I made a series of Christmas tags for the OTP project as I figured they were easier to package and send off with the layouts. Nervously awaiting the next email! Thanks for dropping by!

Wedding Rose
When I saw this rose stamp on the Pattern Play online class, I wanted it straight away. I received it last week and couldn't wait to ink it up. Sorry to bore all my followers, but I just love the Case Study card so much that I just had to case it .... again! I coloured the rose by masking and sponging with distress inks. Afterwards I smeared stickles over it. I love the effect! Thanks for dropping by, I promise that this will be the last card I make with this design. Did I mention I love it? Thanks for dropping by!
