Flower Power

I'm back with another card using the colours of the Altenew April Inspiration Challenge, using a technique that was demonstrated by Lydia Evans from Lydia's Crafty Corner last year. I just love these diecuts and have used them in various ways ever since I got them. The  background was created with distress inks to match the colours from the challenge. This was overlaid with a panel with the flowers cut out as windows. Thank you for dropping by! Hope everyone is staying safe!

Altenew April Inspiration Challenge

I have a birthday card to share using the colours from this month's Altenew Inspiration challenge. I did some water colour backgrounds with distress and oxide inks. I then die cut flowers from the background and leaves from vellum. After adhering the patterned paper and flowers, I used the Altenew white spray to add some splatter before adding the sentiment strip, leaves and sequins to finish the card. Hope everyone is sage! Thanks for dropping by!

Easter Cards 2020

Hope everyone is well. I have three Easter cards to share. I stamped all the roses a couple of weeks ago with my Misti and then fussy cut them for a rainy day. Due to still working despite the COVID-19 restrictions, I have been rather busy on my weekends off with some much needed household maintenance and cleaning. I has lucky to have a day off this week and decided to put these flowers to good use! I was inspired by Tim Holtz Facebook Live videos over the last two weekends and decided to use my distress inks and oxides to some good use! All three cards started with some texture paste background, then a mixture of distress oxides and inks and lots of water. I used water colour card stock for the first two cards and Neenah card stock for the last one. I decided to keep the last one CAS with only just a splatter of white paint. I love the different looks of all three cards! Which one do you prefer? Hope everyone is staying home to fight this dreadful virus! Stay safe!

Challenge me a Christmas Card with Michelle Lupton and friends

My Crafty friend Michelle Lupton has asked me to join her again this year with Challenge me a Christmas Card with Michelle Lupton and Friends. The challenge I set for her was to create a ‘Baubles’ card. She sent me a gorgeous bauble card last year.
Here is my card using a bauble die and patterned paper. It was a really quick and simple card to make. Pop over to Michelle’s blog to check out her creation! I can't wait to create more cards with the new Kaisercraft collection! Thanks for popping by!

Die - Lil Inkers Stitched Squares and Jingle Bells

Winter Rose Love

I'm back with a couple of cards I made recently. I massed produced this by stamping out all the roses first in various colours and then fussy cutting them out. I then stamped the background leaves before adhering onto the card with a bit of glitter tape on the edge. They were so quick to put together and I've already sent away four of them! Thanks for dropping by!

Distress Oxide Background

I have a few distress oxide background cards to share. As most of my crafty friends know, I often make more than one card in the one sitting. It just makes it easier with all the materials out on the table! I blended three colours on each card taking care not to leave finger smudges on them, sprayed them with Perfect Pearls. I then added white die cuts to the card and a bit of stamping. These were quite easy to make and the effect is striking! Thanks for dropping by!

Farewell card for Sue

I have a watercolour card to share. A long time friend at work just retired last week after 43 years of service! I made this A4 sized card on the one night as we had just over a week to collect signatures and messages from staff at work. I decided to use the largest flower bouquet I have from Simon Says Stamp and heat embossed with Altenew Rose Gold powder. The flowers and background with coloured with Zig markers and distress ink. The photos I took were with my phone camera as I was in a rush to get to work the next morning! Thanks for dropping by!
