One Layer Card

Back with my second post today for the A Blog Named Hero Facebook team. Yes, I've volunteered again this year! I'm adding this card to the current A Blog Named Hero One Layer Challenge and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Something New (The Stencil). I bought this stencil as I've seen Michelle Lupton used it on a regular basis and I really like the swirly pattern. This is my first go at using the stencil... you may see more variations of this in the future!!
Oh, you want to know how I did the background?
I placed the stencil over the folded card and taped down the card and the stencil. I sponged with Distress Inks Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserve. After lifting off the stencil, I sponged the edges of the card with more Picked Raspberry. Lastly the sentiment and dots were stamped in black. Too easy and fun to do!! Thanks for dropping by!!

  3. This is a gorgeous stencil and perfect for a one layer card. Great how you achieved an ombre effect allowing the center to be brighter and the edges to be darker. Really highlights the sentiment. Thanks for joining us at A Blog Named Hero One Layer Challenge!!
