Runway inspired watercolouring

I'm having such fun with my new Gansai Tambi watercolours! I was inspired by the colours on the Runway Inspired challenge #76 Carven photo. I used the matching colours to create a background. the colours go on beautifully. I'm also adding this card to Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes challenge. Thanks for dropping by!

A Blue Sympathy card

A card I made recently when I ran out of Sympathy cards and had to make one in a hurry. I used the Floral Fusion and a BluePrint die to create this card. I'm adding this to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Anything Goes. Thanks for dropping by!

Gansai Tambi in the House!

Yes, finally! I have in my hot little hands - Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolour set, all 36 of them!! This set is highly sought after and was always sold out on all the major online stores. When I saw them restocked at Ellen Hutson, I did not hesitate to order a set. Here is my first test on Archers Watercolour Smooth paper. The first card is for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - It's a Guy Thing. The second card is for Runway Inspired Challenge - Ralph Lauren (Oops, missed the deadline!). Thank you for dropping by!

It's a Guy Thing!

Just realised this weekend that I have two male cards to make! The first one is for the current Fusion challenge and I combined elements from the photo and used the sketch. I'm also submitting this to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge - It's a Guy Thing and Paper Smooches Anything Goes Challenge. Thanks for dropping by!

For Virginia's Clean Slate Challenge

I'm back again with this card which took ages to come together! Main reasons are lack of mojo and creative time! At the end, it all came together rather quickly. This card is based on Joni's sketch for Winnie and Walter's First Birthday Bash Challenge and I used the 'Happy' cut out from this card. The star stencil, 'Happy' die and sentiments are from Winnie and Walter. I wanted to keep it mainly white for Virginia's View Clean Slate Challenge. Thanks for dropping by!!

Colourful Card Corner

This is my late entry for the Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #196 - Colourful Card Corners. I followed Danielle's video, but used distress inks (Tattered Rose, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserve, Bundled Sage and Mowed Lawn) instead as I don't have a big range of PTI dye inks. Here is my card, the card corner is flipped to the bottom (accidentally placed the stamp the wrong way up). I used a combination of three PTI stamp sets for this card, and I'm not sick of water colouring yet! Thanks for dropping by!

Winnie & Walter 1st Birthday Challenge - Card 4

This card is based on one of my cards made last year. This time, I've rotated the stamps in creating the rainbow effect. The distress inks I used were Squeezed Lemonade, Ripe Persimmon, Festive Berries, Seedless Preserve, Chipped Sapphire and Mowed Lawn. It took me a little while to work out how many colours I needed as each colour had one full feather and two half feathers inked. The feathers are from WPlus9 and the sentiment are from Winnie & Walter.
I'm adding this card to the following challenges:
- Winnie and Walter First Birthday Challenge - Distress Inks and Patterns with Mayuri
- Winnie and Walter First Birthday Challenge - In Rotation Technique with Kelly
- Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
Thanks for dropping by. Stay tuned to see what I did with the left over 'Happy' die cut!

Winnie & Walter First Birthday Challenge - Card 3

Ahhh, it is so nice to have a bit of free time to craft during this time of the year. We had a very hot day in Melbourne today, the temperature soared to 38C and we avoided the heat by staying at the local shopping centre the entire day! We had Yum Cha with friends, did some post Boxing Day shopping, watched a movie and did some grocery shopping before heading home to a hot house!! Anyway, there is a cool change tonight so relief is on its way! We watched Water Divination by Russell Crowe, very powerful story telling! So I had a bit of free time to make another card tonight for the following challenges:
- Winnie & Walter First Birthday Challenge - Gradient Challenge
- Virginia's View Challenge - A Clean Slate
- Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
The inks I used were Hero Arts Cup O'Joe, Wet Cement, Charcoal and Royal Red. The stamps and die are from Winnie & Walter. Thanks for dropping by! I may have time to do another one tonight....

Winnie and Walter First Birthday Challenge 2

I'm on a roll here. Got a bit of time and love inking up my neglected stamps! This one is for two challenges:
- Winnie and Walter First Birthday Challenge - Mood Board
- Fusion First Anniversary Challenge
- Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
I used my new MFT Dienamics Blueprints 13 set to create the background pieces. The sentiment and stars are from Winnie and Walter, the flower is Memory Box (I think). I've incorporated elements from the two trigger photos to create the card. Thanks for dropping by!!

Another quick card today for a few of my favourite challenges.
- Runway Inspired#174 - Escada Spring 2014
- Retro Sketch #146
- Winnie and Walter First Anniversary Blog Challenge - One (Colour) Challenge
- Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
I chose distress inks Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade and Ripe Persimmon to make up this beautiful background. I then used my Winnie and Walter star stencil with the Ranger Texture paste to make the starry background. The die cut and sentiment are both Winnie and Walter.
Thanks for dropping by!

Happy New Year 2015!

My first blog post for 2015 is a Happy New Year card I made on the first day of the year. We've been out for lunch and when I saw Virginia's View New Challenge posted, I knew what I wanted to make! This card is based on the Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #195 A La Carte Challenge. The challenge is to re-visit all the challenges from 2014 and make something based on one of the ones that we have not had a chance to do. This one is based on Laura Bassen's #193 Camouflaging Die Cuts. I left plenty of white space so that it qualifies to be an entry for Virginia's View #11 Clean Slate Challenge. Did anyone see the results of the last challenge? My only two entries during this very busy month in December got a highlight and a Top Ten Spotlight!! Thanks Virginia!! Here is my card and the triggers below it. HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Thanks for dropping by!
