More Christmas Cards!

I think I have enough Christmas cards made by now! Current count is 51! Here are some great ideas for doing a quick card after being inspired by Jennifer McGuire. I made some last week and did some more with the same design but using brighter colours this time.  The small stamps are from Hero Arts, sentiments from Hero Arts and Winnie and Walter and the glitter tape from American Crafts. I love the glitter tape and have been using them for a lot of my Christmas cards this year!! I'm adding this to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.

PTI November Blog Hop

Here is my last minute entry for this month's PTI Blog Hop. I was almost not going to submit as I do not have a lot of PTI Christmas stamps. I then decided to just make tags instead using various distress inks for the background (Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers, Iced Spruce and Broken China). Thanks for dropping by!

Layered stamping on Kraft

Having a little play with layered stamping on Kraft using white the the background colour. The inks I have used are Ranger Dye Inks with Hero Arts Unicorn white and Mid-tone inks. The stamp sets are from PTI. I loved how they turned out! Here is the link to how it is done! Thanks for dropping by!

Blue and White Christmas

This is another set of cards I made for Christmas using distress inks and perfect pearls mist to create the sky background. I lost my texture paste and would have loved to put some white stars on the card, but never mind, I was happy with the result! I'm adding this card to Merry Monday#181- Blue and White with texture. Thanks for dropping by!

RIC Banana Republic

When I saw the current Runway Inspired Challenge photos, I knew exactly what I wanted to do! This card took a little while to do as I did it over two stages. I used the Altenew Painted Flowers (just perfect) and stamped the outline image on watercolour paper. The images were coloured with Distress inks - Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserve and Mermaid Lagoon (I really needed Wilted Willow). I purposely left some areas uncoloured so that it is the same as the photo. When dried, I fussy cut the images and didn't get around to assembling them until the next day. The sentiment and die is from Mama Elephant. BTW I visited the Banana Republic store in Champs Elysee when I was in Paris last month. While I had everything out and spare flowers, I ended up making 3 cards!

A Christmas CAS sketch

I'm still churning out Christmas cards. I've done just over 30 cards, another 20 to go! I've been inspired by this week's CAS(E) This Sketch for this series of cards I made. To keep myself sane (I don't like to do too many multiples of the same design), I'm making batches of 6 cards at a time. Here is the one I made with the sketch and while I have the MISTI ready, I've made variations of the the same card below. Back to the Craft Room....

Fusion-Warm Welcome

Hi all, I'm just taking a little break from making Christmas card! This card is based on the sketch and colours of the current Fusion card challenge photo. I pulled out the pretty Altenew Peony set (first time I have inked them since getting them months ago!) I used the Hero Arts mid-tone inks with highlighting using Copics and a white gel pen. The sentiment is from Hero Arts. Now, back to more Chirstmas cards!

Some vintage cards

I was inspired to use the current Retro Sketch to make a Christmas card. I ended up making 4 cards using the same patterned paper (MME Vintage Christmas) and MT Washi tape. The background stamp is from Hero Arts and the sentiment stamp is from Simon Says Stamp. These were quick and fun to make!

CASEing Jennifer McGuire

It's nice not being at work! I'm able to get going with all my Christmas card making this week! Here is one that is inspired by a series of cards made by Jennifer McGuire using small stamps as a background. The stamps and sentiment are from Hero Arts and I've used Hero Arts mid-tone inks. I've added some sequins and stickles to the baubles. This is being added to the Hero Arts Holiday Cardmaking Challenge. Thanks for dropping by!

Watercolour Christmas card

I'm churning out the Christmas cards this week! This is made with a Hero Arts background stamp, heat embossed with white on watercolour paper. The distress inks were added to the background and sprayed with Perfect Pearls. There's a nice shimmer on the cards. I made two while I was at it, the second one is lighter in colours as I just used up the left over inks. The sentiment stamp is also from Hero Arts and the snowflake dies are from several different companies. Thanks for dropping by!

I'm adding this to the following challenges:
Hero Arts - Holiday card making challenge
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - N for Noel
Merry Monday Challenge - Pink and Green and White

Krafty Christmas card

Hi, I'm back again. Trying to catch up with some Christmas card making this week. I've used Hero Arts Cup O'Joe ink and Unicorn white pigment ink on Kraft card stock to create a background of snowflakes. The sentiment was white embossed onto vellum and wrapped around the card. This card was fun and quick to make and I was inspired by Jennifer McGuire's Monochromatic Stamp Layering  cards.  The stamps and sentiment are from Hero Arts and this is going into the Hero Arts Holiday Cardmaking Challenge. Thanks for dropping by!

Ribbon Christmas Tree

I was inspired by Melissa's fabric Christmas tree card on the current Papertrey Ink Make it Monday challenge. As I don't have a lot of fabric scraps, I decided to use my very much neglected ribbon stash. They certainly got a good workout in making this fun card. I couldn't find a star, but I'm sure I have one somewhere... so I used a gem instead. I'm also adding this to Virginia View's Challenge - All About Textures. Thanks for dropping by!

Purple and Poppies

This card is inspired by the photo of the current Fusion Challenge - Purple and Poppies and the current {CASE}ing Genius challenge with my friend Michelle Lupton.  I have no poppy stamp, I had to resort to just a generic flower stamp. The technique I used for the card is similar to Michelle's recent card. I stamped the flowers with Versamark on watercolour card and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The flowers and background were coloured with distress inks and water. When dried, Wink of Stella was used to highlight the flowers. I added a strip of purple glitter tape to the base before adhering the watercoloured card. I'm also adding this card to Virginia's View Challenge - All About Textures.
Just in case you follow me on Flickr, I've uploaded some photos that I took on my recent trip to Paris - the link is on the sidebar. It was my first European holiday and I had a great time. Thanks for dropping by!

Runway Inspired Card

I'm back with a card inspired by the photo on Runway Inspired Challenge - Marchesa Notte and the current Retro Sketch #188. For this card, I've only used Perfect Pearls powder - Blue Patina and Pewter after stamping with Versamark. It was very hard to photograph to capture the pearly effect of the Perfect Pearls. The stamps are from Hero Arts - oldies but still my favourites! Thanks for dropping by!
