Happy 70th Birthday!

It's been a little while since my last RIC. The current photo is intriguing to say the least. I had something else in mind, may still have time to do another one! I've used Paper Smooches stamps for this card and have based it on the sketch from the current PS Sparks Designer Drafts Challenge. I'm also adding this to SSS Wednesday Anything Goes challenge. Thanks for dropping by!

Panda Love

After making the last Mama Elephant Pandamonium card, I couldn't put the stampset away when I found out a friend at work got engaged on the weekend. The tag is thick watercolour cardstock and the background was made using stamping and distress inks with lots of water. I also love my new Winnie & Walter Big and Bold set, just perfect! I'm adding this card to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Use Kraft and Mama Elephant's Anything Goes challenge. Thanks for dropping by!

Catered Crop Quickfire

I've been MIA from blogland for a little while due to commitments with other important things in my life! So when I found out a few days ago that my card got picked as Top Three in Catered Crop with two other talented ladies, I had to squeeze some time to make a card for tomorrow night's Quickfire. I've also made this card with the current CAS(E) this Sketch #97 and also for Mama Elephant's October Challenge. I will have more cards to blog this week as I have a couple of rejects from a recent publication submission. See you later!

More Watercolour Play

This is a card I made before WCMD which I did not have a chance to blog. When I saw that this week's SSS Wednesday challenge is 'Watercolour'.... here it is! I used distress inks to ink up the stamp, then stamped onto watercolour paper, added a brush with water and let the magic happen! Thanks for dropping by!

Seeing Red

This is another card I made on my WCMD weekend away. We were thrilled that Chupa joined us on the last day of our weekend and she brought all her Penny Black and WPlus9 stamps. We were lucky to be the first ones to try one of the new WPlus9 Christmas collection! I've made this card for Catered Crop's Seeing Red Challenge. Thanks for dropping by!

Masculine Birthday Cards

Back again with a couple of cards I made on our Crafting WCMD weekend using borrowed stamps from Lyndal and Jenny. The first one is made with Hero Arts stamps and the second with Mama Elephant sentiment stamp. This first card is for the Mixed Media Vintage Challenge.

This second card is for someone younger. A bit of stencilling with and embossing with my newest favourite EP from Ranger. This platinum colour was out of stock for a long time and I finally got a jar of it at last! Now I understand why Jennifer McGuire love it!! The sentiment is from Mama Elephant and I'm adding this card to ME's October Anything Goes challenge and Virginia's View Challenge - Clean and Simple.
Thanks for dropping by!

World Card Making Day 2014

It took us a little while to try and get 5 people together for a Crafting weekend. At the last minute we decided that the first weekend in October suited 3 of us and it happened to coincide with World Card Making Day on 4th October. Lyndal and I drove down to Queenscliff, about 1.5 hours drive from Melbourne to Jenny's beach house. As we came down after work we were a bit tired to start crafting. After a caffeine kick on Saturday we were off. It was so good to try out each other's stamp and die collection. Initially, our theme was Christmas but we got side-tracked with other challenges and DT work (not photographed by the way). Our tally on Saturday night was 15 cards. We were joined by Chupa on Sunday morning. We were excited to meet her family but we were more excited when we saw her WPlus9 and PB stash! Sadly it all had to end Sunday afternoon. Final tally was 29 cards with Chupa managing to make one in the morning! About a third of the cards were Christmas ones. Thank you to Jenny for hosting and Lyndal and Chupa for use of your collections!

This first card was made on Sunday morning when I decided to join in on Festive Friday's #41 challenge (inspiration photo below). Lyndal and Jenny had both made cards the day before using the same MFT Dienamics Winter Wreath die. It is great to see how we all had interpreted the same challenge and came up with three different cards! I'm too tired to blogged the rest of the cards, I will be adding them later this week! Thanks for dropping by. I've added some photos I took below .
