Just a Note

Here's a quick card I made last night for the current Paper Smooches Sparks - Picture Perfect Challenge. I used my new Memento Luxe inks for the first time .... I now know what the fuss is with these inks. They (orange and purple) are just so juicy and ink up so evenly! May need to order some more! I used the colours in the trigger photo and added some stamped and embossed dots. The design is based on the current Retro Sketch #87 and I'm also linking this up to Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes challenge and Core'dinations Hard Core Crop - Stamp and Core challenge. Thanks for dropping by!

Another Vintage 21st Guest Album

I recently received another order for a 21st Birthday Guest album. This is my fourth order this year! For those who know me, I love making cards and only dabble in scrapbooking or off the page projects. This album is within my comfort zone as the area to decorate is not too large! I used 6.5x6.5 papers from several Kaisercraft collections to make this album - I have to do this as I cannot use a heavy patterned paper inside the album. The name and the wooden numbers were painted with Tim Holtz distress crackle paint and layers of distress inks, paints were used to produce the final result. The inside pages were stamped with Ranger Archival Coffee using a variety of stamps in my collection (too many to list individually). The antique key is from Maya Road and the embellishments from Kaisercraft. I'm adding this to Simon Says Stamp's Anything Goes Challenge. The album is off in the post to Queensland, hope Sarah likes it! Sorry this is a photo heavy blog post!!

PapertreyInk October Blog Hop 2 - Mehndi Tags

I usually don't make a lot of tags except during Christmas. The ones I made last year were quick and fast and done when I'm about to wrap all the gifts. The PTI October Blog Hop has pushed me to get mine done early this year! I usually decide on a colour scheme for my Christmas wrappings and the rest just fall into place. The tags I made would be suitable for plain white, red or kraft paper with a bit of natural or red twine or ribbon. I made these tags by inking up my new Mega Mehndi stamp for the first time (I just love the detailing on the stamp) before die cutting the tag! Oops, I made 6 tags again due to the fact I used three colours and wanted to try them on two different card stock. Here are my tags and thanks for stopping by!

Ingredients:
Neenah Solar White and Desert Storm, PTI Mehndi Medallion and Holiday Photo Finishers, Hero Arts Red Royal and Cup O'Joe, Memento Tuxedo Black, PTI Tag Sale #3,  Red ribbon.

PapertreyInk October Blog Hop 1 - Chalkboard Tags

I don't think the chalkboard craze is over yet... well not with me anyway! I couldn't resist inking up these stamps for the first time on black! Well, I had to try a red card, so I ended up with 6 tags instead of 5. These would look lovely with kraft paper wrapped presents with a bit of red twine (I didn't have time to do this... the intention was there...) Check out the rest of the lovely tags here and get started before the mad rush in December! Thanks for dropping by!

Ingredients:
Kraft, White, Black and Red Cardstock, PTI Tag Sale#3 die, PTI Happiest of all Holidays stampset, Versamark, White Chalk Ink, White EP, MFT DieNamics Let it Snowflake, AC Brads, Hemp from Hemtique, Red gingham ribbon.

Christmas Cards 1

It's never too late to start on Christmas cards! I have a couple of cards that I would like to share. These were done by using Basic Grey Aspen Frost patterned papers and dies, some dry embossing and very little stamping. I stamped various sentiment stamps onto coloured PP with Versamark and embossed with gold or silver embossing powders, adhered onto cardstock and cut with a circle die. These were then mounted onto the card with dimensional foam!  Quick and easy, the best way to make Christmas cards!
I'm submitting these cards for the following challenges:
- Hero Arts Holiday Challenge (embossing is one of my favourite techniques)
- Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Christmas and Holiday Challenge

Ingredients
Neenah Solar White cardstock, Basic Grey Aspen Frost 6x6, Basic Grey Aspen Frost Die Duts, Hero Arts CL634 Aspen Believe, Versamark, Embossing Powder, Red ribbon, Kaisercraft rhinestones, Fiskars Scalloped edge punch, Tim Holtz embossing folder, Silver and gold embossing powder, MFT DieNamics Flags STAX

Casing Elena Roussakis

I have not made a card in nearly two weeks due to a lot of social activities, but I'm getting back into it as I've also recently received an order from Queensland for another 21st birthday guest book! Due to the number of orders and enquiries I've been getting for them, I decided to add an extra page to the website - Made to Order.
A couple of challenges grabbed my attention this week and I wanted to combine the two of them. The current muse on CASE Study Challenge is Elena Roussakis and I love the challenge photo! The card is also based on the current Paper Smooches Designer Drafts challenge. Thank you for dropping by!

Ingredients:
Neenah Solar White and Dessert Storm, Tim Holtz Embossing Folder, Spellbinders Nestabilities Square dies, Paper Smooches Reflections and Many Sentiments, Hero Arts Soft Granite and Red Royal, MME enamel dots, Ranger Archival Jet Black.

This has been a crazily busy weekend for me. I managed to make four cards during the week for Paper Crafts Magazine submissions which were uploaded last night. This card was made with a combination of sentiment stamps from Hero Arts and Paper Smooches and I am submitting this to the PS Sparks Anything Goes challenge and Moxie Fab World's Colour Media Challenge.. Two Wedding Cards

Here are a couple of wedding cards that I have made that I have not posted yet. One is for an Asian couple and the other an Aussie couple, so both are quite different. For the Asian couple, I used my favourite Hero Arts Asian Dolls (these were my first HA stamps) and this time, I tried colouring their faces for the very first time. I usually use cream card stock so that I don't have to colour their faces.

The second card was made a while ago for a publication submission. This was made by stamping the rose on three different pattened papers and pieced together afterwards. I just love this rose stamp and I have made a few cards with this stamp. It's World Cardmaking day today, but I've been too busy with household duties to make any cards. I am enjoying all the beautiful cards posted today on all the Blog Hops around the world! Happy WCMD everyone!!
Edited To Add - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Use a Rubber or Clear Stamp

A Masculine Card

A bit of exciting news, my previous card made for CASE Study Challenge 159 made Top 3! Yay! For the CASE study challenges in September, I managed a Win with this card and two Top 3 (link to the first one). I've had fun casing Kathy Racoosin, a great artist!
I have a few masculine birthdays this month and I can't use all those floral cards that I have made! When I saw the sketch on Retro Sketches this week, I thought I would use this sketch to churn out a few masculine cards. Here is my first card made with Hero Arts stamps and my favourite go-to-colour for a man - Navy. I decided to score the edges of the flap with my Martha Stewart scoring board. This was a really quick and easy card to make! I'm also submitting this card to Simon Says Stamp's Going Dotty challenge. Thanks for dropping by!
