Watercolour Blossoms

I decided to use the Hero Arts Floral Blossoms stamp to make a sympathy card. I have liked every card I've made with this stamp, just love the versatility of it! My favourite technique is using distress inks on watercolour paper. Even though I had enrolled in the recent Watercolour online class, I've been too busy to go through all the lessons! I'm hoping to catch up whilst I'm holidaying in Phuket. This stamp was inked up with various distress inks (the smaller ink pads would be handy for this), stamped and then brushed with a water brush. The background colour was added when the other stamped inks were dried. I've added a couple of photos of batik painting I've just completed today. It was a wet day today and the Batik artist was running an activity class. The techniques used are very similar to water colouring!  Thanks for dropping by!

  2. Love the watercolored look of your card, Celia. The colors as wonderful. Your batiks are gorgeous. They took me back to a time I played around with batik as a craft, but nothing as elaborate or gorgeous as your work .

  3. I'm in love with your card! The colours are absolutely beautiful! Good to see you still have time to blog as well as relaxing and having fun! My son was supposed to be going to Thailand with school in Sept, but they cancelled it due to unrest. What is it like in Phuket?

    1. We are on an island in Phang Nga bay. There is a 12am - 4am curfew here and in Phuket. No problems at all. Guests that travelled from Bangkok had no problems, but occupancy is low due to the unrest.
