Get Scrappy!

Hi All
I'm participating in my first Bloghop today on Cups, Crops and Creativity. The brief was to Get Scrappy and use up left over scraps and we have to show the scraps beforehand. I had this week's Retro Sketch #57  in mind and it did not take me long to find some left over scraps and put the lessons I learnt on the Online Class Pattern Play to use. Here is the sketch and the scraps that I'm going to use.

This is the result of my scraps on my card! I used dimensional foam on some pieces to give it a bit of interest. The patterns on the papers were interesting enough and I felt that they didn't need any stamping or inking just to keep it simple. I'm submitting this card to Simon Says Stamp Birthday Challenge.

After finishing off the first card. I had to make another one for my DH's colleague who just had a second baby. I pulled out the scraps from my Kissing Booth papers (last cards made here and here) and this is what I came up with. I love personalising baby cards with the names of the babies (you can't buy these cards in a card shop!). I'm going to submit both cards to Simon Says Stamp and Show Anything Goes and the second card to Basic Grey's Challenge 91 - Clean and Simple.

Thank you for dropping by my blog, please click on the blog links below to see what the other designers have created out of their scraps! A big thanks to Chaitali for organising this bloghop and making me use up my scraps! If you wish to participate in this bloghop, you can link your card to Cuts, Crops and Creativity. A comment on this blog and all the other blogs will also earn you chances for a prize to be drawn by Chaitali.

  11. OMG, you really rocked that sketch with your squares & rectangles of patterned paper. And, your baby card is a keeper as it would be so fun to make a personalized card for birthdays also. I've added both cards to my Evernote to use as inspiration. Perfect use of paper scraps. What a fun blog hop, Cecilia!
